Re: Books You Read Over and Over Again.
I read a bunch of king as a kid, started the dark towers again recently and can't understand why its supposed to be so great. I've re read books in the past, but its usually after not having read them for 10 years or so. I loved the stand as a kid, and recently got out it out to reread it but may not after my disappointment in king's writing style now that I'm an adult.

Very twisted book, heh heh. or, for more of a fun/light sort of read... "The Strain" by Guillermo del Toro First installment of a new vampire trilogy. Good characters, good drama, creepy vamps, very cinematic (of course.) These are both great. House of Leaves is a very "artsy" book for lack of better term, but it all flows together to make an amazing experience.

Fear and Trembling: at least once a year. I still struggle with it.
I used to read Freedom from the Known by Jiddu Krishnamurti often but it has been a few years.
Finite and Infinite Games by Carse is good when dealing with big life changes.
The rest is poetry not books so it is easy to reread.

Ah crap, I deserve to have my ass kicked for forgetting the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy "trilogy".

I re-read "American Gods" by Neil Gaiman a couple of times a year. I find a pearl of wisdom in it with each read. i can get through it in about a day and a half so it's an easy read. It finds it's way into my bag somehow...

No Factotum? I read the exact same three over and over. They are the best ones... Anything written by the Drunken Master can be read over many times. Unfortunately, my copy of Run With The Hunted is at work and Pulp has been lent to a friend, so you won't find them under this filthy Captain.

I really don't like the look of those "ecco" editions. even if they kept the og design, the semi-gloss stock of the covers ruins the whole thing. I was, thankfully, able to stock up on the titles I hadn't gotten beforehand when Black Sparrow went belly up and sold off the remaining stock for a steal. Ham on Rye is always a good 'pick me up' in tough times.
