Re: Disney to buy comic book powerhouse Marvel for $4B It just doesn't feel like the right fit. It's like merging Soldier of Fortune and Good Housekeeping magazines. Very bizarre, but a cash cow for them in the long run. Less original ideas to create - check.

Re: Disney to buy comic book powerhouse Marvel for $4B I'm all for it, frankly. I can't see them doing much to change it since Marvel has been it's own solid business for a long time, especially with the movie end.

They were equal creators in the characters that made Marvel what it was today, was paid squat in work-for-hire deals and generally treated as an afterthought. Disney had better do the right thing and finally settle this decades old rights debacle. Stan Lee has enough money already I think, right?
