Thanks for re-posting this, Erik. Saves me the trouble having to resurrect the Saito thread. Not that looking at those pictures again would hurt anyone... Now that the cat's outta the bag, I can openly say how funny I thought it was that the guy who did this was actually pictured right in the thread all along..

Actually, if you're gonna own a U5 Garada, the black one is probably the one to get. Although it's neither anime nor toy accurate... it just looks bad-ass.

Erik, that is damn cool. Very, very nice job.
I notice the final model has rivets (or holes approximating rivets). Did you add those via displacement in Maya prior to milling or was that hand-done to the final physical model?
