Really like this fella. With M1Go's vinyl quality, I think this guy weighs a ton too?

Cool score!

Gameldon is a custom I did a while back.

I guess I'm the only one around here that gets excited over a giant T-28 :(

I think I'm one of the few here (I know you like this stuff too Lixx!) that still gets REALLY excited by the classic monsters and heroes from TOHO and Japanese TV. I know there are others, but most talk is over 'neo-kaiju' stuff...which I like too....just not as much. :?

Give me Godzilla, Ultraman, and T-28 over just about anything.

I'm all about the classics. Godzilla, Ultraman, Ultra Q, Toho. I like a little Patchi thrown in there (stuff that looks old) but definitely will always choose this stuff over neo kaiju. Was there a brown version of this available also? I'd love to own this!

Same here with the Patchi...love it!

The giant brown was one of the Tokyo CultuArt releases (I don't recall S7 getting one???)...yeah I'd like that one too! I have this T-28 in my living room now...which is normally off limits for toys...but it's huge and no shelf can contain it! Oh well...it looks great!
I'd still probably buy the brown T-28 too if the opportunity presented itself :? Once you see this in hand it's pretty amazing.

Add me to the list of loving the old school stuff! This Gigantor rules...I have very little T-28 toys. I hope they do make a movie with true to the classic toys, kinda like the mach 5 speed racer stuff.

Reading Mark's blog entry really makes me hunger to see Yuji Nishimura's collection. The M1 head honcho has a museum that has over 10,000 pieces and is the biggest japanese toy collection in the world. THAT I would love to see!

That T-28 is amazing!
Your description getting it reminds of my experience opening the box for the first blue Giant Kanegon from US Toys. I was smiling for days!

Fantastic Score!

Wow! Might as well fly there and hand carry one myself since it's gonna occupy one seat anyways!
Keep coming back to it (great pics and excellent blog, REdYODA).

The size, paint apps overall feel....its really tight!

Incidentally, I--for one--am totally with this sentiment.

Anyway, I didn't realize this giant had articulated elbows...neat touch!

While I absolutely love the original pot-bellied T-28, I really just don't have room for something like this. Honestly, I'm not really into the diecast toys of the character either. Tin on the other hand....at some point, I just need to research ALL the Tetsujin tin walkers available and track down my favorites (cost notwithstanding!).

Post Re: M1 Giant T-28...yeah it's BIG!
I spied some T-28 tins in the Morphy auction that look to be in in perfect condition...like everything else that collector has

I've thought about getting into the walker robots too (not just T-28)...I really like them. The only thing is that when I price them out they all seem to get a way too pricey for me. And I know myself...once I get one...it's collecting fever from there on out!
Plus you've got Japanese hero collectors AND robot/tin toy collectors all in the bidding to contend with.

I always though that my vinyl collection would look amazing mixed in with vintage tin robots!

Such an awesome toy.

Sadly I haven't been able to find one of these. I planned on putting it in the office next to my giant kanegon.

IF anyone knows where to find the blue please send me a pm.

All right! Congrats Josh!!!

I put mine totally away from my collection as it has a pretty commanding presence on it's own...plus it just didn't play nice with my other tiny vinyls...T-28 just wanted to stomp and crush them.

Knowing how big it is and seeing it in person are 2 different things. I'd have to make a backpack and carry this guy around like a baby...if I had one (the toy that is). It really is something to see....along with those US Toys Kanegons and anything giant sized.
