 Ultimate fighter Kimbo Slice
Thought he would do better tonight, I was really pulling for him but once he hits the ground he is TERRIBLE. Both fighters didnt do much tonight for that matter.

That's heavyweights for ya. Lots of heavy breathing and laying on each other. Not usually my idea of a good fight. So... I take it Kimbo lost? Not watching this season due to no cable.

Kimbo Slice???? Really Through the powers of the media he built himself up to mythical status but he's far from great.

Not watching this season due to no cable. TKO, he was taken to the ground and was sort of pounded out. I say that because the guy hitting him was barely hitting him. Its just that Nelson was so fat that Kimbo couldn't get him off him. Kimbos ground game is weak so all he could do was take shots to the top of his head, but nothing that hard enough that would stop any fight. The ref stopped it because it wasn't going anywhere fast. Terrible fight

 Re: Ultimate fighter Kimbo Slice
O I agree he isn't a great fighter. Its just entertaining to see someone who went from web fighting to the big leagues of MMA. I guess I was hoping to see something more than this.

 Re: Ultimate fighter Kimbo Slice
Heh! I had a feeling this was gonna be a boring season. Totally agree with bryce. ALL that Kimbo hype over a few short videos. And really- there was only the first one that was moderately impressive. The rest were crap. This will prolly be the end of it. Poor Kimbo...

I hate it when they take it to the ground - so boring. If you're going to call yourself a fighter stand up and fight, don't try to dry hump the guy to death. I wanna see knock outs, not tap outs!

They're suppose to be FIGHTING, not whispering sweet nothings in each others ear!

 Re: Ultimate fighter Kimbo Slice
When I hear people complain about MMA fighters going to the ground, I feel like it's 1994 all over again. It's part of the sport. Deal with it. Sure, too many guys lay and pray, but that's the ref's fault for not forcing them to work on the ground or get up. And Lesnar vs. Mir II was fun because it was like a schoolyard fight (headlock, million billion punches to the face). Mir looked like he had been in a head on car crash afterwords, prior to the days of airbags.

Submissions are better than KO's. That is all.

 Re: Ultimate fighter Kimbo Slice
UFC is awesome! heavyweights are boring no matter what sport you are watching. This season does suck because out of the six fighters we've seen in the octagon so far, not one of them had much skill, unless you call getting incredibly winded a skill. If you are going to be an MMA fighter you should be able to fight from your feet or your back. Kimbo has ZERO ground game!!

 Re: Ultimate fighter Kimbo Slice
Not all heavyweights are boring. The superheavyweight (openweight) tournament in Dream was pretty whacky.

 Re: Ultimate fighter Kimbo Slice
Fedor and Antonio Nogueira immediately come to mind when I think of heavyweights that are exciting and well rounded. Unfortunately, Fedor is more interested in making easy money than proving himself, while Nogueira is slowly but surely having time catch up with him.

 Re: Ultimate fighter Kimbo Slice
very disappointing showing for Kimbo too bad cause he seems like a pretty nice guy. Big Country on the other hand is too big headed to like.

 Re: Ultimate fighter Kimbo Slice
that "fight" was terrible. poor kimbo got smothered by big countries belly.
i am sure kimbo is on this show for a reason. more hype. right after the loss, you could already see dana white spinning it by basically saying big country didn't do anything worthwhile. you know regardless of the outcome of this show dana will sign kimbo to the ufc.
even more interesting to me is that rampage quit the ufc last week which means he won't be fighting the other coach in the finale. even more interesting is that rampage will be playing Mr. T in the A-TEAM movie.

I really hope he didn't quit. I love Rampage and want to see him kick Rashad's ass.

I love Rampage and want to see him kick Rashad's ass. yeah, 100% serious. he quit. said he is done with fighting and ufc. had a huge falling out with dana white. he wanted to go do the a team movie role (he sees it as being a huge opportunity for his acting career), but dana wanted him to fulfill his obligation and fight Rashad in the finale. so rampage got pissed off, talked a whole bunch of shit about dana white and ufc, accepted the a team role, and quit the ufc to pursue acting. his goal is to be the next "the rock".
