 Red Dawn Remake?
Wow, Patrick Swayze must already be spinning in his grave (too soon?).

I have known about this for a long time, and I'm still scratching my head trying to figure out how the hell this got the green light.
Reverting further & further into the past.... -M

They are remaking Plan 9 and I spit on your grave... Seriously, if there were 2 films that shouldn't ever be remade. but then Cronenberg is remaking his remake of the Fly, so...

 Re: Red Dawn Remake?
The most disturbing thing about this is mixing the Chinese into the new plot. Yeah, I know it's a way to make it contemporary, but to what end? China is not an enemy of the U.S. Are they wishing for retro-Cold War nostalgia? Because remaking Red Dawn outside of the Cold War threat seems ridiculous. Where is the tension coming from?

 Re: Red Dawn Remake?
Exactly!
I actually was certain when I first heard about this that it would be Al Quaida that showed up as the enemy. LOL... glad I didn't bet money on that theory.
