Re: SDCC 2010 - WTF? I finally wised up and bought my 2010 4 day passes (with preview night) on the last day of this year's Con. I got screwed out of '09's full 4 day pass by waiting too long in '08 and didn't want that to happen again. Preview Night has become just as packed as the other nights, they might as well just sell it as a separate day and be done with it. Or charge for a full Weds day pass and then you can pay to help with the booth set-ups.

The Kaiju Fiends Dinner made up for what I missed at the preview in spades and some people were kind enough to pick up a few things for me at the preview. Re: SDCC 2010 - WTF? Last year Preview night was a bust for me...5 minutes after doors opened I was in the Gargamel line and all the good stuff was gone or in the process of being gone.  I wonder if folks with the 4 day pass (no preview night) will still be able to get their badges on Wednesday?

I don't really have much desire to go until they move it to a better (read: bigger) venue; when I went in '08 it was already pretty much a clusterfuck. Waiting in line for 5+ hours (or more) to get into a panel just feels like a waste of time and money to me. The toy aspect is great, but there's not enough stuff I'm into nowadays to justify airfare, hotel etc.
