So I've been searching for the Purple Lottery version of the M1 Gaira for a long time. It's probably been my most wanted for as long as I can remember. It represents three things I love in a toy: A company I love- M1go- who sculpted this perfectly, a character I love- who doesn't love Gaira?, and a metallic purple paint job. Basically this figure can do no wrong.

Now while my story of obtaining this isn't as cool as the Marmit Blue GID Woo madness, it's still pretty cool. I was searching for a Kaijuken Glow Alien Domino and came across one in stock at a store in Japan. So I thought. My excitement soon died as I was informed that it was in fact not in stock. I wasn't too disappointed though because while searching deeper I came across a M1 Glow Angilas, same place. Rainbow back to be exact. The last one I needed of the bunch. I ordered it like the Domino and waited for my paypal invoice. Again I got a email saying "sorry out of stock".

Kinda bummed I went into ultra search mode on google. When I go into ultra search mode it involves hours using every known spelling or japanese character variation there is. While looking for the Angilas I came upon some obscure Tokyo toy shop that at one point had this Angilas but no longer, BUT so blown away by the eye candy of M1 figures (my favorite) I kept browsing pages. Sure enough second to last: Purple Lottery Gaira and AVAILABLE. I could not send a email fast enough begging them to please sell it to me via paypal (the site said no international orders). They were very kind and merciful and agreed to. So here he is with his Brothers:

That is a super nice score! Until I saw this, I thought the gargamel release was my favorite paint app for this figure.

Funny you should mention that Cliff. My girlfriend has turned my record shelf into a giant spider web (complete with giant spider) for halloween. BUT in the lobby of our apartment building there IS a spider problem for real and I'm routinely dispatched by her to rid this 'phantom menace' for her. I think she also has one living in her car, which I'm told I must find. I hate spiders.

I love stories with happy endings. But a story about a Purple M1 Gaira with a happy ending is even sweeter. Congratulations on a great score.

Those look great together- don't think I've ever seen them in a group like that. Doing the legwork really does pay off.
