retail was 12,800 HKD, which works out at about 1,650 USD. Even for two that does seem rather expensive for 1000% bricks. What do they normally go for?

That price was for the set, not sure of the average price for a 1000% percent. Isn't it like 250-400?

Yeah it was a big purchase and after much debating I gave in, the sculpted helmets sold me.

They're nice but the price is silly...i'd rather spend less on the older Medicom RAH figs.

Gotta recoup the tooling costs for those helmets . . . only a slim chance of ever using 'em again, plus the band's %, plus the crappy JPN economy plus the insane shipping cost because they are so stupidly huge . . . remind me, why do we buy this stuff again? :D

Did they do 400% with those helmet sculpts, or are you talking about the Bearbricks?
See i have the Bearbricks set, but i really love the sculpt they've done on these. I just can't do shit that big(and that expensive). As Gforce said above, i'd rather pay lesss for the Daft Punk RAH figs, which are really fucking lovely.

If the mask displays actually worked, I'd consider them for the price. Otherwise, yeesh! I too would rather go the RAH way, wish I could find either set, but I'm too lazy to hunt them out.

I used to be mad into space lego..........until Star Wars lego came out, and my eyes were turned.
I would be really interested in these if they were 400%, Kubrick stuff is always so well made, and the detail is spot on.

I wouldnt be surprised if a 400% set was in the works, they already have a 100% set..

Let's hope so, they'll look lovely with my DP Bearbricks. The 1000% are just too big for me.

Got my set in the mail today, really amazing. The size does the helmets justice. Probably the closest you can get to owning the helmets. The 400% Bearbricks look tiny next to them!

Got some pix, couldn't find my regular camera so I had to settle for this one. These guys are the highlight of my collection now, not to mention they're helmets double as mirrors.
