The EP Big Eye is such a beautiful toy. Almost a reversal of the color arrangement of the original Bullmark.

So many toys. So little time.

Who is the grey/white/gold large belly guy with the puffed out cheeks on the left?

Post Re: vinyls
I had no idea it was that large, either, until Bryan posted that photo a while ago with all of the talkers and giant-sized heroes. I have to admit I was embarrassed - I had been looking for this toy for ~10 years. I knew it was "giant" - but I figured it referred to the "giant Zone" character himself. Sadly, Yuji's book has a separate photo of it from the rest in this series which removes all sense of scale. This was the toy I came out of "retirement" to find. The drama behind this acquisition was too much. After 10 years of begging and searching, the ending seemed out of a movie. I will say without reservation that it is my favorite toy. Its giant size, at first surprising/discombobulating to discover, makes it even more wonderful in spite of expecting it to "fit in" with all of the other nodders I had already. I've never (and still) been that happy to have a toy in person and that it was my longest-sought-after grail made it seem appropriate. I put the other "favorites" from an image from a previous thread to show the scale; seems nobody can get enough Devil Bado.

After unpacking a bunch and having to whittle it down for this picture, I think I have to stop. I don't have the room anymore and I don't think this is even a 1/3 of the collection. I may make room for those Flying Attack Human villains, but I have to draw the line somewhere ;)

Hey, thanks!

Yes, those are Astro Mu 5 missle firing bases. I was trying to get a random-assortment type of look to this photo and those were actually an afterthought (I don't look for those; they came with other stuff.) I have to thank Jim for his photos and display ethic. I have been burdened by an army aesthetic and Jim's display has shown a new path. The vintage toy store look is growing on me; you can also fit a lot more things in a smaller cabinet!

would love to hear the story behind the zone fighter . most of the fun in collecting is the stories
behind some of the toys you search so long for . these guys were years in the looking . they are from an obscure show called flying attack human .

Hey, Jim:
Wow, thanks for the fantastic image of the Flying Attack Human villains! You've been really generous at sharing your toys with everyone. These are some of the best sculpts; too bad they are so very overlooked. Not sure if this is common knowledge, but the fly-head henchmen also wore a *lab coats* in the show - unbelievably cool character design!!! In my humble opinion, in this rare instance, the fly-headed henchman was NOT a neater toy design than the character on the TV program.

I'd say most of the toys in this picture are markedly less exciting than in the first image. I love all of the Astro Mu 5; they are all most special. I am also a big fan of Thundermask, obviously. Zone Fighter has always been dearest to my heart; probably the hardest and most expensive show to try and collect from, in my experience. Bryan always reminds me of this! But virtually every toy I have seen from this show is really well-done. The talker is simply fantastic, a really wonderful sculpt. Nakajima's Golden Garoga deserves special mention as it is one of my very favorites. The translation of the TV villain is top-drawer Nakajima. When I think of it, everyone (company-wise) that comes to mind (Nakajima, Masudaya, Popy, Bandai) did an excellent job on their respective Zone Fighter, with the possible exception of Takatoku. I've always felt their sculpts never really tried for anything interesting in their interpretations. I will say that does certainly exclude the missle-firing Condorman. THAT is a great toy and it's really cool that you wanted that bad enough to track it down and share it with everyone on the forum. The few times I had seen that available, I just couldn't spring for it. For Condorman, the talker is my favorite sculpt.

Thanks again for sharing, Jim!
