sofubi in the last 6 months.
i came back from japan at the end of may and was flat broke so i stayed off here to save what little money i had. now i'm back, has anything MAJOR happened in the last 6 months (ie gargamel, secret base and rxh merged into some super company) that i might have missed?

Re: sofubi in the last 6 months.
hm,.....my GUESS is that roughly 250 different toys(variants inclusive) had been released ??? the best to get and overview of what has happened is to browse the archive(s) of: http://kaijuchronicle.blogspot.com/and http://www.toybotstudios.blogspot.combut the best is to browse through the specific sections here to see what has happened..... I think every single release or event is discussed here so I guess with doing some researches you should be up to date in a few days...... hope that helps !

KR bought out M1go and the first release is a Matangunny blind box keychain/mini-flashlight series. Post some pics of your pickup’s in the 'Show Your Collection' thread. conqueror wrote: i came back from japan at the end of may and was flat broke so i stayed off here to save what little money i had. now i'm back, has anything MAJOR happened in the last 6 months (ie gargamel, secret base and rxh merged into some super company) that i might have missed?

Helpful. You might be interested in this fella that just came out from SB (available now at S7): http://www.skullbrain.org/bb/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=32181. Charactics shop and Pilot Ace closed down. Charactics may or may not be producing toys. Big toy auction going on next month at Morphy's Auctions: http://www.skullbrain.org/bb/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=32145. Any status update on your sticky vinyls?

It would probably be worth checking out Toybotstudios' blog. Kirkland keeps that pretty current.

Re: sofubi in the last 6 months.
Just got this in the mail today: http://picasaweb.google.co.uk/voidmare. ... 3717552370I'm not one to throw around terms like "Toy of the Year" very lightly, but this beast is going to be hard to beat. Ridiculously good sculpt, beautiful paint job, based on a Kazuo Umezu manga, and its in clear pink. All that, and its still $75 or so at retail. Amazing.

Re: sofubi in the last 6 months.
Thanks! I was kind of wondering if I should have put in the pre-order or not for a while there, but all doubts vanished when I opened the box. I think I just forgot how impressive it is in person! You can usually tell when a figure has been "phoned in", and on this one its clear just how much love/work went into it. I have never, ever seen Chinese vinyl with such a complex and amazing paint application (multiple rubs, fades, inner spray, numerous washes). Don't even get me started on the textures...

Re: sofubi in the last 6 months.
thanks for the comments guys, and ricky that sculpt looks amazing. how limited was it?
akum6n: i never got to the bottom of the sticky vinyl thing, which is a little weird. i tried cleaning them with the various methods people mentioned but it didn't help at all unfortunately. its almost summer here now (44c days etc) and i'm sure it'll make it worse which will be interesting.
i'll hopefully be able to buy my first new toy at xmas time since april!
