I just noticed that the bronze Gojira arm swivels at the elbow! And it looks like the feet are separate pieces as well. Is this a first for M1?

And if you want to get more anal the pose is from a popular comic called Osamatsu Kun by Akatsuka Fujio in the 60's, the pose was always done by one of the characters and is called "Che", so this is the "Che" Goji. Too much information again.

Re: just when you thought it was safe again......
Lol! Great to know the story behind the dancing scene from "The Great Monster War". I read Ishiro Honda hated that scene but Tsuburaya insisted on keeping it because he thought kids would like it. Never too much information. ; ) Love it!

Here's the dance: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GMxrXMjPMccI think this is the best sculpt of Gojira (IMO). Everyone into Godzilla and Ultra villains needs to own at least one Godzilla and one Ultraman figure. I own the green GID and love it, working on Ultraman.

I've seen those a million times before and just wasn't interested. I never noticed the articulated elbows...and thus never realized it was the dancing Goji! Sweet! Thanks for the info...fortunately, these pop up fairly often...and cheap...

Re: just when you thought it was safe again......
Back to the Matangos: These really are nice. The purple & the GID are outstanding of course, but the brown isn't half bad either. At the show, one of them was displayed wearing the captain's wheel from the potted 'shroom as a necklace. Nice! I asked about that btw and, of course, in the movie the kids arrive on Matango Island aboard a yacht, but also the girls are wearing similar necklaces in some scenes ... ? (I don't remember that myself - gonna have to go check it out again!) There were a fair few GUESTS at the show too. One was the OG Godzilla-suit guy, and there were a couple of people from or connected with 'Matango' too, though the main girl didn't show. Apparently, everyone wants to see her again, but although invited she never comes. Yuji (M1go) made two (yes, just two!) BRONZE Matangos as well, similar to the Godji & the recent Hedorah. But these were PRESENTS for two of the aforementioned guests, and he currently has no plan to make any more.

(I don't remember that myself - gonna have to go check it out again!) One of the girls in the movie (the good girl "Mary Ann" character , for those who subscribe to the Gilligan's Island parallell) gives out the necklaces with the ship's wheel pendant, as a momento of the trip. The M1GO LD set Maimi has it as part of the sculpt.

Quite. I don't even bother checking ebay any more for toys I buy... it seems wherever you go, vinyl, vintage Gokin, 3A toys stuff, Transformers, ebay is nothing but scammers and flippers. Shit from exclusive shows goes up on ebay moments after (or before) the show opens... I swear, half the people in these hobbies are trying to get rich off of it.

Re: just when you thought it was safe again......
that's what i was thinking to. but i want this set sometime in the future, and i don't know what it orginally sold for. so yeah, if this was to be considered a fair price, i'd erase this set from my mental want list immediately. good to know i can still keep it up there with all the other million point five toys.

Re: just when you thought it was safe again......
OK. Pulled the trigger on these. stoked. then saw the auction pics ^ above. a little less stoked.
I will reserve final judgment until I get them in-hand, but dammit!--I hate that M1go doesn't finish painting the figure!!! I mean, sometimes they do it and it works, but just the fronts on these??? it's like it's 2-d or something. man.
...I mean it's not HORRIBLE. it's just one of those things where you can think of how it could be better and in the end, you're not asking a whole lot, ya know?
