 Re: Silver R.I.
i almost thought about purchasing two to strip one thinking it would be a very nice color underneath... but $165 was a huge risk for maybe the torso to be one color, and maybe the arms anoter if it is indeed abs... i did think about it though

 Re: Silver R.I.
I think it's black underneath. SB packed em really well (wrapped in bubble wrap, in a box, and then in a postal bag) but mine still has a little nick on it. It looks black underneath but it might be paint

No offence to anyone, but if I pay that much for a brand new factory made toy the mf better be perfect. Glad I passed on this.

 Re: Silver R.I.
busted open mine just now.
I love the contrast between the "chrome" body and black flocked bandana and pants.
The chrome is definitely not perfect. cracks is probably an overstatement. it sort of looks like the guy has dry skin in a couple of areas. Mine is not as bad of a case that Eckotyper seems to have.
personally, I love it. I think this one and the black one are the two best Rebel Inks out there.

 Re: Silver R.I.
I'm on my phone so its hard to see perfect but that looks about how my silver skullman looks... And I'd imagine how the other silver sb toys seem to end up. Seems to me straight "chrome" or silver is an issue. My gold skullman and my nycc premium ink are flawless. Wonder if they have an additional coating which helps protect the silver. Wonder if a clearcoat over that would have done it... I'm disapointed these aren't as clean as the picture led me to believe. Still nice tho!

 Re: Silver R.I.
yeah.. it's too bad this silver plating(how's the silver on the silver chrome blobpus?) has not been perfected so it can't be fully appreciated. mine also has some wrinkles.. so at close inspection it's not very pretty. but (just as in ekotyper's photos) it just looks too awesome not to have tried making & this is one of the few instances where it just looks so good from a distance, i'll let it slide (i don't think i'm rationalizing too much)

 Re: Silver R.I.
I hate using crome paint and will never use it again. It will always have at least one prblem adhering to a surface. Even if you paint 1000 figures with it chances are the paint will react wrong on a few of them. My guess would be that someone handled eckotypers RI and forgot to wash off the oils or it still had some kind of chemical residue on it and that made the paint not adhere right. Many crome paints that I have used also have a problem that if you try and put a top coat like a clear it ruins the crome paint completely. This is a great looking figure but it sucks that there are some QC issues.
