Stopped in the middle of what I was doing when I got the email and took care of them... fantastic looking figures, with what looks like enough difference to keep from any problems with the 'reissue' idea, while delivering a trio of AMAZING colorways to cheapos and newbies like me Big thanks to ST if these are some of the figures he is responsible for... they are some of the style figures I lusted after in the Mook and assumed I would never be able to own.

Bigaro has a black and red eye... thank you! Now he matches.

Now re-release figures I DON'T have

I think clear yellow would've been cooler. These look sweet, but no moneys right now I'd just gran the Mutant I think for now anyway, the others are cool but that Mutant has always been so cool and subtle.

Clear yellow woulda been neat... the Bigaro would look good with clear yellow, but I think the other two would have needed transparent paint apps over the clear yellow to work as well (they could like ghost MH-04 and ME-01!). As it stands, I am unbelievably stoked to get Mh-not04 and ME-not01, two gorgeous figures. The Bigaro is a much more simple figure, but striking all the same... the lighter yellow vinyl should look really lovely in hand, and these three will add some serious color to my shelves.

But they are ALL Mutants!?

wow this is getting kinda depressing. How many figures has RxH reissiued now? It seems like one a month at this point. Who is telling Mori this is a good idea? or who isn't telling him it is a bad idea? Either way he needs to wake up before its too late. There are other easy ways to make a quick buck.

most of these are revisits of limited painted releases.

It's weird; just last night I'm on the can looking at the Mook and wondering what revisits we were going to see (probably at the same time the answer was selling out). I was surprised to see this colorway revisited--but I'm pretty stoked because I've had ZERO luck scoring a MB02 and MH04.

These yellow ones are pretty close to the line for me. I think if the vinyl is totally different, it's not a big deal. Like the milky or pearl solutions. Agian why I'd like clear yellow more. But I can't deny, I want them.

This direction is just killing the brand in my view. Unfortunate.

I actually think these improve on the OGs (yes, get your stone-throwing arms ready). The painted bands and belts on the MH and ME help to break up the sculpt/paint, emphasize the fighter aspect of the toys. Also, the Bigaro eye color is 'fixed' to match with the mini and Bigaroid. This was something that always bothered me.

It's like when an action figure gets reissued and the company finally fixes the leg that kept falling off on the original toy. Or something.

The 1st reissues with the Milky vinyl didn't really cross the line in my opinion but this yellow set and the red evil do. I can't tell the difference between the red evils in the pictures I have seen and this yellow set is even worse.

On my last trip to Tokyo I was surprised/saddened by the glut of RxH figures filling the shops especially the bargain bins full of figures priced below what they actually cost to make. The stores make the BST look cheap in some cases Just 1 year ago there really weren't many figure to be found and almost none priced under retail. The tragedy is you can find cooler figures in the 2nd hand shops for $15-20 then you can at the actual RxH store unless you show up on a new release day.

The brand seems to be in free fall at this point which is really too bad since there are so many great sculpts in the line up and there are so many obvious releases that could be successful without doing reissues or super limited Japan only runs.

Hopefully Mori can shake off these bad habits and refocus at some point.

I never collected Star Wars figures, but didn't that market collapse due to repaints?
This direction reminds me of that situation.

No one really complains when Gargamel does it or Rumble Monsters (though there was a bit of guff for them.) But I guess most think "as long as the vinyl's different..." which is my opinion too.

The pearl red Evil, other than the pearl, also has masked parts. Pretty obvious difference to me.

If they were redoing old colors I think it'd be cooler to see it on a different figure. Put that yellow Evil's colors on a Chaos Man (big one) or big Fly Guy.
