The new Pop-Chaos is really nice. In person, it's actually quite a lot different from the first release.

I told Hossy how much folks dig the figure, so here's hoping there will be more.

Sorry for my terrible out of focus camera but for comparison I found the purple clear color to be much darker.

Yeah I'm sure the sunlight made it look lighter. The pic I took is outdoors held up to the light and the vinyl is just not that pale at all. I'm indoors now and it's sitting right next to me with no backlighting and it looks like black vinyl with pink spray. Thats how dark the purple is.

could it be the black rub making it appear to be a darker purple? would be nice to see pic of it without back light

Can't believe I missed this but on further inspection it does have a black rub which of course would make it look darker depending on how heavy the rub is. There is also a transparent and opaque pink spray and what appears to be a black spray. Is the technique for doing a rub to spray the color on first, then rub off? That would answer the question of the black spray. The bottoms of the feet (at least on mine) look like they have been hit with black spray and there are other areas like the sides of the horns that on closer inspection look to have black spray.
So final answer...
It is pale purple vinyl with black spray/rub with transparent and opaque pink spray and transparent gold spray eyes with black rub. Whew! Hope that doesn't make you to .

Definitely much darker than pictured. You can still see through it though if you hold it against the light.

From the looks of it it seems that the other one that lulu posted was maybe the test shot/paint?

Those Arizona sunsets are magical. And for the record, I actually really do like this Evilbat. I think this is the best version thus far. Gotta love clear vinyl.

i think the way the pink spray on the chest area photographed in ph's pic is what concerned me more than the look of the clear purple vinyl, but nate's pic totally put that concern in the grave. (no offense toward your photography intended plastichunter ).

OK, no pics, sorry, but I got my DC Evil Bat and it kicks all kinds of ass in hand. The Lulubell pic is very true to what you get when you hold it up to the light... the color is very translucent and subtle, and it looks like glass in the light. Not directly in the light, however, the low-key purple color and a black rub waaaay cleaner than any we've seen before make the figure look like it is cut from a really dark and highly polished amethyst. The pink spray has a really nice glossy iridescence to it that doesn't show up well in pics, but it breaks up the colors well, and the figure really does look like it's made of crystal or glass... RxH does amazing clears, and this is no exception. To add to the awesomeness, it's wonderfully soft and squishy! I am in love.

Cool! I agree with you on the head spots and the traditional spray style, but the colors are funky, and this is one I can live without.

yeah, not digging the colors much.
they might work on a different sculpt, but i'm not a huge fan of this dude to begin with.
the only version of him i've liked a lot so far is the dead presidents release...

just got the clear purp Evil Bat. I wasn't really digging this sculpt as much as the others, but this colorway helped me "get it". The rub treatment wasn't as heavy as I thought it would be. It's on there, but with the other sprays and the nature of the clear vinyl, it's all very subtle IMO. Couldn't stop looking at it.
