The Zudon isn't bad but the MG5 is totally uninspired. But then it's not like I was going to be able to score either of these anyway so...

I just wonder how Medicom came into releasing Zollmen.

Zollmen has collaborated with most shops in Japan, from Mandarake to Garimpo, Ichibanboshi, Jyarinco, Monstock, Charactics. Also working with Rumble Monsters, Zakkamono, and Paul Kaiju releasing versions. It should come as no surprise that they collaborated with 1/6 Medicom store.

Medicom isn't sold at TRU. Medicom is pretty legit, despite them being bigger than the kaiju/neo-kaiju companies we're used to here. No offense, I just don't get how a collab with them equals some sort of selling out OR them jumping on to some trend train to cash in.

Gargamel did a promo with Coca Cola and created one of the rarest Zag's, M1go collaborates with Beams Tokyo CultuArt division, so it happens. Still doesn't make getting that particular version any easier to get unless you live in Japan. I don't interpret it as selling out so much as a smaller kaiju company getting more exposure and the larger company getting some street cred. Happens all the time here in the US.

To add something here, Toys R Us in Japan is a totally different animal than here.
We spent over an hour wandering around there, and there is some incredible stuff.

Medicom makes some really nice, really good quality toys. The Doraemon VCDs are some of my favorites, and I have a Shag FRankenstein that is absolutely incredible. I wish people looked past the names of toys sometimes and looked at it as a fun toy rather than who makes it.

And I will add that Medicom's VCD Animated Batman and Robin figures are better than ANY ever made by stateside companies....Runaway Brain Mickey VCD, fantastic companion piece to BxH's Pegleg Pete....I'll stop there...I love Medicom...

And I love Medicom too. It's actually one of my favourite brands.

I've been to the Project 1/6 store, it is a great store, I've been to Toys'R'Us in Ikebukuro, I've bought stuff there, it's fun to wander there compared to the lame toy stores in France.

So don't misunderstand me, talking about all this was just a way to understand why Zollmen did collabs with big players like Medicom.

It's all a question of craftsmanship Vs mass production.

Sorry if I polluted this thread.

OK, I get ya. Just because this is a Medi collab I doubt they're "mass produced." Why are so many Peps available then? Because these were sold to the public vs. an online lottery and they all waited for them, and all got them, and flooded the market. So people responded by not freaking and jumping in on their crap.

Just got the Badzilla in today and this toy is INSANE !

Size = A tad bot taller than a BEMON but closer to the size of the 2 headed, my favorite full sized vinyl toy.

Sculpt = Yes the heads are joined, and it works well. I dont want to give away the surprises of the sculpt just yet so I will refrain my excitement until others get this in hand. I will say that the backside of the figure has something sculpted that made me laugh and I LOVE it.

Texture = There are horns and spikes all over this guy, you just want to run your fingers all over it.

Vinyl = The red and green is on super bright cherry red vinyl, one of the best red vinyls I have ever held. The blue is also on the what looks like the same blue as the Godzilla its based on with just the right amount of silver spray.

Paint detail = All the teeth, finger nails, toe nails and spikes are painted to perfection. Who ever painted these had their work cut out for them just so much to paint. But mine is flawless and whomever painted it took the time to make sure everything was painted clean and set to dry before bagging ( may hats off to you !). The red has metallic green over silver paint w/ silver and gold details. The blue is just blue base vinyl with silver spray and painted red eyes. I'm juts amazed and cant stop picking it up to check it out.

Package = Well there is no header card which I thought would have been nice. Its juts in a bag with twist tie. The bag itself though has printing on it similar to the way M1GO does theirs.

Omake = NOPE , no omake though which I was hoping for. I think a small frightened human similar to the Buta cavemen would have been perfect for this guy.

I can go on and this toy is amazing, Zollmen does it again !

This is actually the first lottery I didn't win that I'm actually disappointed to miss. I'm still waiting to see pictures of it in hand, and side by side with other pieces, for a sense of scale. It just looks like he's destined to be heavy :)

The little sculpted arm on the back kills me hahah, and the way they sort of look at each other with disgust is great.

Some shots of the blue a bit later

Your exacly right , and the one with 6 digits is stubby and the one with 4 is regular. It's a bad mutation with all the deformities.

Great pics Rich. A lot of things I missed..like the deformities on the head, hands, etc. Out of curiosity do the heads turn in unison?
