Sanjeev, Those are just killer figures. The flyer with the original prices on it is interesting.

Re: morphy auction ...you will want to read this
kr, those tins are great. I especially love the Parman jet! I'm just not into cute stuff... yet, as Jim would say! Anyway, thanks for the comments on the Ninja Arashi figures, guys. I absolutely love them--they're works of art...like so many other classic Bullmarks... Just don't make 'em like that anymore, huh? That tin Grendizer bus was definitely my personal "grail" of the auction, though. Wasn't gonna leave the place without it!

Congrats on the bus. Now you just need that Lego set I've been telling you to buy. No character collection is complete until you have it in Lego.
And I hate you for getting those Ninja Arashi figures. You should give them to me. They are worthless. They don't even glow!!
Seriously, did anyone here get the Supersol Kanegon? I really wanted it but had to save my money for something else (that I got blown out of the water on anyway).

Spoke to Laura (she's awesome) @ Morphy- trying to get a feel for their shipping policies (so I can be there to sign etc etc). They ship via Fed Ex in case anyone is wondering and it is signature required (obviously)

Re: morphy auction ...you will want to read this
highly-detailed descriptions are not something you're going to see from auction houses on lots that aren't super-expensive, in general. they always say that buyers are encouraged to look at things in person, and if you can't then you should call them beforehand and get them to inspect particular pieces more closely and get any questions answered. this is always stated in their terms of sale regarding condition of items, and they only take returns if they do something egregious (like attribute a painting to the wrong artist). anyways, bad time for me to be mostly broke. if anybody on here picked up lot 31 and doesn't want the gid woo or manda, get in touch

I got *mostly* lucky with the Ninja Arashi set: there was no writing, but there was...chewing gum(!?) on the bottom of one of the dude's feet. Scraped for hours and it's still there... If the chewing gum substance is still there, try working it off with peanut butter. Usually works like a gem.

I imagine the oils in the peanut butter might affect the vinyl? it works in people's hair from what i have heard, personally i could die from something like that, but if you're not allergic i suppose it's ok.

Re: morphy auction ...you will want to read this
I was not joking. The oils from the PB shouldn't affect the vinyl, because you're not leaving it sit for any extended period of time. Did you try it?? The peanut oil breaks down the adhesive quality of the gum, so it rolls right off... total mom-geek moment. LOL

Re: morphy auction ...you will want to read this
some pieces were really nice, so not all bad. Yep writing on the foot of one of the key pieces i was going for. Broken tabs on the missile firing leo. I am not sure what "light paint wear" really means since it was in all the descriptions. I think it could have read light paint remaining. Limbs on one of the TAC figures swing freely. Just common things that are usually noted with vintage vinyl auctions.
