 Re: Toygraph Space Troopers
Hopefully there will be a renewed interest in these guys as I'd love to have them stick around and fully materialize into a full line, complete with command centers and human resistance fighters I've always felt that space troopers were on the expensive side though, which is a shame, because I'd love to amass an army of them, as I feel that's how they're best represented, but for now I've been limiting myself to (mostly) a single toy per different head sculpt. Nice take on the Space Trooper Brian, I think you've found a hit on your hands I know I'm collecting a few.

Quote: K.I. ‘the creature on a flying saucer’ is a fusion living organism between several living things and machines. It was born by the radioactive contamination from nuclear explosion. This creature is controlled by nothing but his evil thought, and all he wants is sliding the whole universe into chaos I got to see one of these in person and found it a lot more interesting in hand.

It honestly looks way better with those legs! Otherwise it's a terrible looking toy.

 Re: Toygraph Space Troopers
If this was a full bodied 1/6 scale hyper articulated type figure, it'd be KILLER. However, the format and half body, blegh.

For me its the scale of the figure compared to the ship. The enormous size of the upper body on this small saucer looks out of place. Feels like they rushed it, like they got halfway through and decided to say "fuck it, just slap it on the saucer and get it done". If the body was the size of the trooper it would look better. That or they made a larger saucer for it to sit it. Actually, same goes for detail, the upper body is super duper detailed with stuff going on everywhere and doesnt fit well on the ship. The ship has almost no detail and is simplified. But I agree, in the end aesthetically its doesn't work so well.

 Re: Toygraph Space Troopers
I would dig this if they finished the body instead of the flying saucer thing. lots of texture.

I, too, can't say I'm thrilled about this GIANT alien coming out of a saucer. It's a bit too much for me. Too many heads, detail, crazy wierd texture. Space Troopers are way cooler... I'd LOVE to see some more ships or accessories for them!

I half hardheartedly expected that they would show up on ebay for 5x the amount in your flipper store.

 Re: Toygraph Space Troopers
Wow. Alot of hate but that's cool.
I can't get a sense of the size, I'm assuming its the same size as the other saucers which is quite large unfortunately. I like the mess of faces and textures and the paint on this one more than the first.
It's sort of stuck between 1) scale it to the Trooper size and the detail and textures get lost or 2) scale up the saucers which are already too large IMO
So many troopers that I've lost count. Prices are better now, closer to $30, if you order directly from Toygraph.
I'd rather see a larger humanoid alien form (maybe 5 inches) to go with troopers and robots. I can't see Toygraph releasing separate weapons unless they do mix n match arms of some sort.

These gats look pretty bitchin' on their own, but I think they'd sorta clash with the old-timey rayguns the existing guys are armed with. I dunno. I think what would've been REAL cool would be if they sculpted them after existing classic raygun designs like this or this.

 Re: Toygraph Space Troopers
i actually like this thing. the crazy stuff going on everywhere is fun for me, and the fact that the body is supersized compared to the saucer is a plus in my book, it acutally makes me think more of the x-men villian mojo than of a half body on a flying saucer...so i could have gone without the back story... the only thing that makes me kinda cringe is that black early 90's image comics type mask covering half the face. and the diamond shaped nose (yet works better on the gold mask version). lose those, and i would love it...
