Just saw some of the pics from the show. Wish I was there and what a great bunch of customs. It was an honor to be among such talents. A BIG thank you to S7 for another fantastic show. Lee thank you for putting up with us crazy vinyl spoilers. I would like to personally thank Coasterbear for picking up the Plagued Damnedron set. Looking forward to ICFSB 3

Thank you Brenda and all for the generous compliments. In all honesty I really did not expect any of my stuff to sell. I sorta got attached to those Dams being ones of a handful of customs I've done since coming into this hobby. But hey I can always paint more.

Thanks Jay. It was actually a last minute decision to add the mini to make it a set. I couldn't locate a plain unpainted so I took the mini from an SDCC clear blue set. Now that the set sold I think I'll take the full size one and spoil it,lol.

I couldn't tell what was going on with that custom, either. I was looking forward to getting a better look at it in person when I got to the show, but I walked in 20 minutes after the show opened and it was gone. I was 20 minutes late and I missed my chance to see a lot of things. Kind of a bummer. It was still a great show. Thanks to Lee and the S7 crew for doing a great job.

Seeing all the photos of people at the show ogling the shelves made it all the more surreal, very cool. I noticed there's no good pic of mine in toybot's coverage! I was really impressed withe variety of the custom styles as well... I assumed Skullbrain customs would be very traditional kaiju-sprayed style customs, but there were some awesome flat painted figures as well, including those amazing green Visighosts!

I looked past the accessories if you will and was focusing on the paint application

sorry ben.... your toy was on the top shelf and since it's flat, i'm not tall enough to get the video camera up at the right angle....!

but you get a glimpse of the elusive dragon at 1:18 in the vid...

Interesting, I like accessories myself but only if it came with the toy from the manufacturer (i.e new Boogie man with suckfly). I wish the Sickboy bootleg I used came with the ice cream cause it would have been real fun to do something wild with that. One thing I can say I'll never do on any custom I do is add stuff (sculpy,etc) to the existing sculpt. I like the challenge of working with what's there. Any re-manipulation (izzat a word?lol) of the sculpt will have to be done as an illusion via the paint itself.
It's my lil way of giving props to the toys original creator/designer.
