 id these old baby toys
stumbled across this on yja and I realized I had them as a young kid. Does anybody have any idea what they are called or who manufactured them or anything? http://page8.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/h137037880

I think Tupperware made these ( or some very similar).

I remember playing with those. I love how simple they are, and the color is great.

Re: id these old baby toys
i was playing with these toys at christmas. my mom keeps everything and had 5 kids over 16 years, so its like a vintage toy warehouse there.
i think our set is mostly complete from the looks of that picture.
yes, they are made by tupperware.

Re: id these old baby toys
For a brief period in my youth, my mom sold Tupperware. I'm almost positive that is where they came from as I had a set too. I think I had them all and the pieces were interchangeable. I don't know if it's just nostalgia, but it seems like kids toys these days just aren't as interesting. Maybe I'm not looking in the right places. My mom had a huge purge after me and my brothers stopped playing with most of them. I did manage to hold onto my cowboys and indians, and a Play Guidance plastic train set (AWESOME). My kids love to haul that set out and create massive setups in the living room. uberboy wrote: i was playing with these toys at christmas. my mom keeps everything and had 5 kids over 16 years, so its like a vintage toy warehouse there.

boy, talk about nostalgic flash. My brother and I totally had those critters. I remember getting them with some bristle blocks. I thought I'd burned all those memories out with booze and paint fumes. Good to know the ol' noggin is still churning.

Re: id these old baby toys
Speaking of fumes, does anybody remember those felt markers that smelled like grape, berry and so on? They might have sent the wrong message to kids, which i received loud and clear. Also smelling ditto copies of tests fresh off the printer.

I often came home with a colored upper lip. I wonder how hazardous that ditto fluid was? I remember the machine being a spinning monstrosity.

Re: id these old baby toys
My God, how could I have forgot these? I had a set as well, yet the only Tupperware toy I remember owning distinctly is the red/blue plastic ball you pulled apart with the yellow shapes.
I think they still sell those scented markers. They had a set not that long ago at Costco (Mr. Sketch)
