Post Custom Vinyl Toys
I have created a new Flickr group called "Custom Vinyl Toys." I think the title says it all. If you are interested in posting any photos of your customs (either those that you have created yourself, or that you have that were created by someone else), feel free! I have started up the group by posting some of my stuff, but I don't have any custom kaiju (yet), and thus that art form is completely unrepresented. Maybe some of you can remedy that. I would welcome it!

Here is the link:

http://www.flickr.com/groups/customvinyltoys/

Also, please let me know if you have any questions or comments.

Cheers!

Post CUSTOM KAIJU PICS WANTED!!!
I have been getting messages from people who have pics of custom kaiju or vinyl and would LIKE to add them to the Custom Vinyl Toy group on Flickr, but they have never done it before and aren't sure how.

The easiest way is to first get the pictures into your own flickr account. Second, go to the Custom Vinyl Toys group on Flickr and join the group (http://www.flickr.com/groups/customvinyltoys/).

Then... Two options: add the pics to the group one at a time; or a bunch at a time...

Add one at a time:

You double-click on the picture in your Flickr account that you want to send to the group, and there should be a little gray icon up above the pic when it opens in its own window (second icon from the left) that is called "send to group".

Click on the "send to group" link, and then it should come up with a list of the groups you belong to... Then just click on the "custom vinyl toy" group (which you already have joined, above), and then click ok when it asks you to confirm that you wanted to send it to that group. You are done.

Add a bunch at a time:

You can send a number of pics all at one time to a group by using the "Organize" tab at the top of your flickr page. When the organizer opens, your pics will be in a row along the bottom of the page. Highlight and drag the ones you want to move to a group up into the main frame. Then click "send to group" which is in light gray up at the top (last item on right) of the main frame. Then again pick which group or groups you want to send all of the pics to at once. You should see a progress bar showing that they are being added.

Hope this helps (and I hope I described it correctly).

Good luck!!!

There is currently a limit of 10 pictures per day that you can add to the Custom Vinyl Toy group... this is just so it doesn't get flooded with irrelevant spamming pics (like already happened once). If you want to add more than 10 pics a day, just let me know and I will change the preferences so you can add all of them at once.

Send your pics, please!

Geo,

I tried to upload the pics I took at Paul Kaiju's show at Super7, but I have 31 of them and you only accept 10 at a time so I gave up cause I didn't want hassle with it.

unlock it and I will upload all of them at once.

thanks

Will do.

I think I will just take the limit off, or limit it to 100 or something, and then just remove any spam pics that get uploaded.

Cheers!

Geo

More great pics have been added! Check it out! And add some of your own.

The group is open to anybody either wanting to share pics of their collections or their creations; or those hoping to get exposure for their work to make a name or sell their pieces.
