Post LA Snow
The sun is shinning for a few days before the next deluge. Took this photo from my kitchen window this morning.

Yes! Every year at the higher elevations there is plenty of snow. The section you see in the photo are some of the lower areas of the San Gabriel range. The view is across the San Fernando Valley from Studio City looking toward Burbank. They do get a sprinkling of snow on occasion but very rarely this much and at that low of an elevation.

:D
Not so much the snow but the rain and run-off from the snow has a lot of people in the foothills worried. All the buildings/homes that are moving up the mountainside in the right of the photo are in an area called La Crescenta. Last summer/fall they had major forest fires in the range all above La Crescenta. Last week they had to evacuate all of La Crescenta for fear of flash floods. Fortunatley, while there was some damage, the major mudslides and flooding didn't happen.

OK...the sun is back out. Still cold....it's in the 60's but we can deal with it. Glad winter didn't last too long.
