http://rentzelsauctionservice.com/upcom ... nojava%3D0Looks like Rentzel's and Morphy's are getting together to liquidate more of the Marc Solondz collection.

Yeah I got a flyer in the mail yesterday. No online bidding though, which will be good for my wallet!

got the same flyer in the mail, torn it up when I saw the no internet bidding.
4 hour drive out of the question in the unpredictable weather of winter.

I thought the good stuff was all gone. Any ideas as to what's left? Can't tell from the gallery if it's worth the drive.

I'm pretty sure this is all 'toys' I think the only collector(like) vinyl is Lau stuff. It's mostly action figures, statues, etc. But tons of it, like a massive amount of it.

The only thing close to interesting there for me was this stuff. But honestly, Yahoo! Japan and even eBay is better for that stuff nowadays. I've scored serious bargains online that would cost less than driving to see this stuff. Bad timing for this stuff.

I wonder if you have to pay admission to the toy show to get into the auction. I agree that this isn't the best time for the auction world to get into this area, but on the other hand maybe the poor showing will keep the speculators away for a little while longer. "Poor" by tin toy collector standards, that is.
I might go check this out just to beat the cabin fever.
