Carl, am I missing something? There must have been more than five new sculpts last year.

I'll bet $200 on which one wins and I still won't be able to buy it on ebay

Indeed - but thats why I asked for nominations and spent ages totalling up the nominations with points assigned to each in order to come up with the top 5 - just like the Oscars. The five above received the most nominations. I'm pretty sure there is a limit to number of options in a poll - so I couldnt really add all teh sculpts released this year anyway.

I didn't send nominations in, boo to me.
None of the above are toys that I have purchased, but Josh's figure definitely gets the vote from me. It's a great little toy.

Re: 1. Best of 2009 Toy Releases Poll: Favorite figure (sculpt)
I voted for Beasty. I know it's not the most original thing to just alter your original figure but I feel it's done in a way that totally brings something new to it. Also it's so fun. I've never had a Pep so I can't vote for that, the Le Merde and Josh figures are ok but just not my style and the Astro Brain would've been my #2 choice from the list if I didn't go Beast. Again, somewhat of a rehash I know, but still in a way that's creative and new and fun.

I'm like Baikin on this but still, I would rather vote for that

Voted on Josh's Rose. Very clean flowing design. I've yet to score one so I can just imagine how much more stunning this figure is in person.
