 Paint question
I could really use some advice about a toy ( a Soaky, actually) and determining if the paint is all original or not. First, I got the toy and ran water over it to remove some dust, and some paint peeled off. It looks like the paint may be acrylic. I've cleaned other hard plastic toys like this, and this is the first time paint has come off. Also, before the paint came off, the paint was perfect, whereas the bottom of the piece and the place where the head attaches has wear. These factors make me think someone repainted the body. I'm pretty sure the seller didn't do it, he bought it and passed it on. So I'd like to know if what you folks with painting experience think? If if was re-painted, it's no big deal, because there is a version of this toy that has an unpainted body, and I'll just take off the rest of the paint. On the other hand, I could have damaged a fairly rare collectible. Thanks in advance!

 Re: Paint question
I don't know anything about soakies, other than what they are; based on that I'd say the paint was touched up because soakies were meant for the tub/shower so I'd think the original paint would be waterproof, right?

 Re: Paint question
That's a good point, Phil, thanks. I think I am going to strip the rest of the flaky paint, so I can display it
