Re: Lost art of Inglorious Bastards
Alex Pardee knocked the shit out of his, wow. Skinners rules too, reminds me of a medieval vision of hell or something (well, I guess his work always does. Maybe it's the clothing).

Re: Lost art of Inglorious Bastards
Agreed on Skinner. Alex Pardee bugs me. I do like his poster, but looking at a lot of his work (especially this poster) it just looks like a total Ralph Steadman ripoff. I LOVE Ralph Steadman, so I'm bound to be somewhat drawn to work that apes his style. But I hate it when one artist is obviously trying to look like another, but under the guise of it being original work.

Re: Lost art of Inglorious Bastards
Some of these are terrible and a very "SAW" like which to me, isn't what the movie is about. I even thought the Sam Flores one looked like 'batboy.'
The other's weren't that bad but I actually really like the simplicity of "Grotesk's" version. It captured everything without trying to be uber cool.

I thought the same thing when I saw the Sam Flores design as well. I still cant figure out what its trying to depict from the movie. Wait I see it now, its Landa. I'm a huge fan of Estevan Oriols photography, but his reminded me of American History X. I actually like the Alex Pardee print, I love the eagle slicing the demons neck with sorts of nasty stuff pouring out into the Nazi flag.

Re: Lost art of Inglorious Bastards
I agree with Maz - Dora's is superb. Could have used that as the actual film poster and it would have been incredible.
