Awesome!! Hopefully it'll be big! Recently, I built the visible frog model with one of my kids. It's basically just like this Companion, only it's a frog. Anatomical models are great. Visible Woman -yeah!

I have almost no interest in this piece. Maybe I'd care more if I owned a 5-years-later Companion.

I haven't gotten into Kaws stuff to this point, but having an interest in anatomical imagery, old medical illustrations etc. this thing has really caught my attention!

I keep picturing it sitting on the shelf in the biology Dept. in some high school. Probably wouldn't be around for long!

No man, that is awt, fine awt.

Not a complete fan of Hirst but some of it is interesting.
Those into the macabre, should check out his dissected animals floating in tanks.
I saw one up close in a museum.

Word.
>cue softly sobbing wallet

I saw those Hirst pieces in person...got a pic somewhere of me and m'wife in front of Hymn (the male one)...very impressive pieces.

In fact, overall the show was very impressive and fun, which I didn't really expect...I didn't think I would like Hirst's stuff from what i had seen in mags and read in interviews....

If a dissected 5YL comes out i NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED it. Seriously, I might have to get really hardcore for that one.

Love the Dmien Hirst comparisons. The Saatchi Gallery (atleast the old one on the SOuthBank) is one of my favorite galleries ever. The Hirst embalmed shark and the dental office in a tanks of fresh water filled with large live fish are awe inspiring.

I'm not sure where the gallery has moved to, but I'd say its a must see for Kaiju fans who dig modern art. Imagine walking down a corridor and seeing the sillhouette of what looks like a huge 10 foot high DeathStart covered in undulations, then finding out it is made of 1000's of freeze dried rats, gross yet intriguing.

If that is the same shark piece I heard about on NPR, the art is decomposing and the guy who bought it for 18 million is a little pissed! May not be the same artist. Thanks for the pics of the art, very cool!
