I haven't bought a vinyl toy in a good 5 months or so. This will definitely be my first purchase, and my first Western toy purchase for that matter, in I don't even know how long.

I love Brian Morris' work. I'm actually wearing the Rotofugi ooo000ooo hoodie right now. There, I said it.

I'd like to have a big bag of just the heads. I'd have a blast swapping 'em out w/ S7 classics.

Post Re: Dredge no longer a sneak peak..
the head is awsome, but overall I do not get a great lakes kaiju feel, this piece screams ozarks swamp demon, the ball joint is a nice design touch and the color scheme is a good compliment to the piece, Brian's work is sick but I do not think this made the transition well, for those of you that do not own a muscamoot on the other hand you might wanna check one out next release, not a traditional kaiju but it has an awsome Henson Creature Studios feel, with the release of the shriner car (so sad I missed the 1st one) and other what nots I think it may have been excepted better if in the end it was not pushed as part of the lake monster series (and I know this theme may not be limited to great lakes but that is the first impression I got and also were my ego carried me since the great lakes/rust belt kinda got notta in the toy world unless you go to NY) also kirby whats up with your rotomatic jonesing for some blow molded goodness

Went to the Roto today, and my friend picked one up.
Wait until Kirby posts pictures of this thing hanging on a wall. It looks as if it was meant to be displayed that way.

I don't know about hating. I certainly wasn't in my comment. I don't think you can compare it to a Bemon. Sure it has the same use of similar textures but the Bemon had an off kilter kind of a rhythm that was carried through the entire sculpt. From head to toe the Bemon had a consistent style that put a method to its madness sculpt wise. I personally don't care for the Bemon (2 hed kind yes) myself but I think to others this is the appeal.

To me this had a start of something very powerful. I got very excited when I saw the teaser for the head and I guess projected what I imagined the rest of the body would look like. Like something out of a Frank Frazetta painting like the Death Dealer. I think this is when a teaser had a negative effect personally speaking. It's very good that many like this piece and I wish for all involved in this good fortune.

I don't think it's like the Bemon body with the exception of the wide base/narrow top. Otherwise (and I've seen one in person) they're not similar though I think I see where you're going with it. Also, and I've stated it earlier, my only issue is the design of the head, it flows poorly with the body. This is what I heard, the body is wider/bigger than it was intended to be due to someone at the Chinese factory adding bulk. It was originally supposed to be a more narrow cloaked body, to look a bit Super-D/comical. I think that would have been much better, but something happend I guess.

After seeing one in person it's not the WORST thing I've ever seen. It's OK, but really just not for me. Honestly it's not a toy I'd drop $60 on, if it was a cheap-o $10 thing from Toys R Us I'd totally buy one.
