Sparkle vinyl, subtle spray, and more spots.

I wanted to keep plenty of the sparkle, so I began with a soft, transparent green spray.

As I was painting, I realized just how little texture the sculpt has. Since all the surfaces are so smooth, I decided to go with the spots to add a little detail.

The back is killer. Really like the transparent green to keep the silver sparkle.

Good call adding the spots. And I like that you didn't go all out and do it all over the body. I think you did a great job and keeping the sparkle really helps the whole figure stand out. Well done sir.

The colors are great, and the dots are both a cool idea and really, really clean. You have a really great eye for design, and some serious brush skills to back it up It reminds me of a 60's comic monster with Kirby Dots all around it

I like the spray and the sparkle that shines thru - but not into the black dots, despite the Kirbyesqueness of them. The white dots seem to work better IMO. Still way better than I could do I'm sure.

When I decided to commit to the dots, I knew they'd be kind of polarizing. They're pretty stark - I didn't think they'd be for everyone. I take it as a huge compliment that some people see a "Kirbyesqueness" to this guy (even if they aren't feeling it).

Every custom I paint gets placed alongside my other toys before I call it "done." I like to determine if a custom "deserves" a spot in my collection before I'm finished with it. It's tough to find the balance between unique and out-of-place and, for me, this step helps get me closer to it.
