Crappy Zags? I disagree. Here is a set I purchased in 2006: Parka wrote: Pogue wrote: Jumbo Stormtrooper!!!!!!! That is what is going on:

and gargamel just released some amazing Mario's

and that is just this week.
You know what's new about your attitude, point of view and contribution to Skullbrain? Nothing. So not having a different attitude or point of view i.e. following the latest hype/fad is something to be condemned these days? Personally I can't get excited about any of those other than the Jumbo. So chalk me up for meh. And lets not delude ourselves, Kozik only appears here lately when he wants to sell or push something. Koziks like an abusive partner most you keep crawling back to, and this is from someone who owns a lot of his western stuff. Crappy painted Zags with no preperation, anyone got one with no flaking issues. Fibreglass figure of a random monster he couldn't even be bothered to google the name of, and then just supersize it. Pickle/Coral RxH set (what was it called again?) of which he didn't paint various quantities of. Then you go back to KR and the dream packs that some valued members here were shit on for years, sitting on their money whilst he kept churning out other projects. Thats just of the top of my head. But yeah, he tells it like it us uh huh. Can someone also elaborate which artists were run off the board? That buff tit monster guy who painted some figures he couldn't tell you the name of in the same three colours that he paints his western stuff in just because kayjoo was getting hyped on VP? That was a real loss to this board wasn't it? Has SB changed its remit because last time I checked it was a board for Japanese vinyl, not arts and craft board for anyone who wants to slop a figure together with sculpy. Meh

 Re: A kozik comeback ?
my opinion doesn't count for much being new and all but i find those offensive.. the standard zag is what got me collecting sofubi, I guess i just prefer a more clean and traditional paint app.
But you know whatever floats your boat..

 Re: A kozik comeback ?
colour on the middle is ok, but the crappy refers to the fact that in 99.9% of them the paints rubbed off of them. I had 2 of the anarchy ones and wouldnt buy the other two versions because of that problem.
But hey, more power to you if you'll put up with crappy qc at the price these figures cost.

 Re: A kozik comeback ?
Who wants the old days? I can pick up toys for almost the same price and somtimes less for "classics" in b/s/t than I could from toyshop rough. Retail price is through the roof but if you are patient you can pick up yesterdays toys for half of retail with all the fire sales. I guess as a business model "fairweather" fans who had amassed collections through any channel possible at the time and then sold them off for whatever reason(I like how kozik's sales are considered positive but anyone else was just selling out) isn't as useful as kids who stick around buying everything up you put out and selling it off two weeks later. Insulting a bunch of the people that were the reason the "scene" probably got so big and used to be the bread and butter for S7 is nice, but on par for your usual behavior. If I had to choose between some kid saying +1 to everything "cool" but then running from hype to hype and selling off all his toys everyweek to some "asshole" who actually "collects," I'd take the asshole any day. Re: A kozik comeback ?
I mean everybody knows that Audio is THE fan boy of not being a fan boy. He will complain about anything someone says they like. Otherwise its a back handed compliment. It's literally the exact same thing since I first checked out skullbrain. The trends will come and go but Audio will almost always hate it all. that's his thing. His place in life. Let the guy be.
As for Kozik. I like Frank. He painted toys for a few years? who cares.

I got them on YJA a couple months after his sale, so I'm not entirely sure. By the time I joined, he had sold them all. Robert DeCastro wrote: Kevlo9 wrote: Kozik comeback (-2) who cares? Re: A kozik comeback ?
It wasn't a set, they were individually sold. I know one was a ningyoushi exclusive. I think one other was an exclusive somewhere else and one direct from him possibly? Once everyone started to complain about the paint sticking to the bag and everything else they seemed to pop up stripped or for cheaper. Here's all the info from the time. http://forums.kidrobot.com/viewtopic.ph ... t=gargamel
