FOr the first time in a while - these two releases have me super excited. As well executed as they are, the "adult" size RxH dont appeal to me too much - I thought the evil would - but arms are too long IMHO.

But these Skull toys collabs? Both teh colors and teh OG Doku Rocks head WORK! Last night I opened a box and found 5 OG Skull Toys suits that I hadnt looked at in a while - they got me even more psyched.

For trivia fans, the first dokurocks suit, the pink unpainted, was released at some fest in Japan in late 2005 (anyone recall which one?). I had previously written to SkullToys and told them of my plan to put on a Henshin Cyborg Exhibition at Meltdown on Sunset. They were kind enough to send me a proto suit - so it was unvelied simutatneously as part of teh exhibition in Hollywood.

That day Lupe Fiasco, unknow to me then, hung out all day while I was setting up. He was freidndly and we chatted away about nerd stuff. Dazed and Confused tuned up to do a photo shoot with him - so I gave him some toys to pose with. One of which is that Skull Toys proto. Damn me if Lupe left teh doll-stand on the toy for the pics - but still looked cool when teh pics surfaced in another mag 6 months or so later.

The arms are from a certain Skull Toys figure, I forget which though. I suppose this is Skull Toys part of the release. First it was the RxH body with the Skull Toys suit head. Now its the RxH body with the Skull Toys arms.

I like the Evil but not to crazy about the others. Still not sure how I feel about the arms though.

The arms are from the Dock'n'Rocks figure.
The figures in the picture were the one-off lucky draw prizes for Saturday - there were tickets in the blind bags.
Todays lucky draw prizes were the chao Q's.
The figures that were for sale in the blind bags were the mutant dokurocks - of which there were four different versions - 2 today and 2 yesterday.

The Mutant Doku Rocks dudes are the best of all these IMO. The little Bean Chaos guys are kicking my balls in too. I'm not into those arms on the RxH figs but overall great stuff from all this! I just bought something else so I hope I can score these in a few weeks, this might be the best colab from RxH yet.

love, love, love the Mutant Doku Rocks. Hoping that they will do a larger run to satiate the hordes. I'll take a mouthful of those Chaq Bean guys too.

Skull Toys has always been one of, if not my favorite, companies around. I love the collab Doku-Rocks figure.

Me too. Though there are still lots of suits I still want to pick up - Sid/Nancy & Popsoda being the 3 at the top of my list.
