Stripping a toy doesn't make it a proto, it makes it a stripped toy.

. . . and means one less of an already low run for collectors to try attain!

Don't take it as anything. It's a pretty good split of people here who are into customs and those who prefer official releases. So far its been live and let live with regards to customs so I see no problems.

they can hate all they want on some customs, but they can love me for not being a threat to the Bemon population, guess I am at an even keel

Coming to a for sale board near you, a lovely proto GID pink Vampire Rose for a mere $375. Please disregard the acetone smell.

I made it to super7 today before flying out of San Fran and the vampire roses all lined up in the display case was stunning

Hate customs . . . hate acetone . . . hate neglected production toys . . . I have plenty of hate to go around!

That case full of S7 toys is nice. Makes you realize just how much stuff they've been putting out.

I try and nab a pic of it each time I go in as it seems to ever increase.

I can strip a blue Milton for ya.

there is a huge difference between using an unpainted white and stripping a toy and calling it a "proto". Don't cross that line.

you can always tell a stripped figure, as it looses just a bit of the surface luster, as the paint used actually bonds with the vinyl, so you essentially stripe off the top most ayer of the vinyl, leaving a slightly more uneven surface behind it.

There is no good answer on to customize or not to customize, as we all collect for different reasons.

proto was not the best thing I could have said, but when you have slipped you have slipped, naked would have been better, I do not like to say unpainted as it implies vinyl "NEEDS" to be painted to be a success, when a lack of paint can show of a sculpt just as well or better in some instances as far as I am concerned, especialy with as strong of a sculpt as the rose vampire
