i have mixed feelings seeing this figure coming to life.
overall, i quite like it and the first painted version does not disappoint.
at the same time, it is sad to hear that the launch of this figure may also mean trips to cure store will be history soon.

I'm going to eat some Frankenberry cereal in anticipation of this guy.

gotta see what happens when the painted version appears.. would easily prefer a new boogie-man over this as it stands currently.. just not into the goofier looking toys so much.. loves me some tasty frankenberry tho'...!!!

To be honest, I wasnt 100% about this figure until I saw it in person. Even though this is still a little to cute for my liking after seeing it in person and him explaining the first colorway I got pretty into it! I do however wish the head was less cute and more grotesque.

I just hope the prices aren't Boogie style.

That painted version looks pretty cool.

Don't like the painted one and I don't really like the sculpt at all but the unpainted pink kind of looks like Frankenberry.

I haven't been a member very long but for what it's worth I think this toy sucks.
I like Cure toys. I like the bats I like the boogie. I don't like this.

whaaat is going on? i agree i wish the head were a little more grotesque as well. i do like the clear gray but whats this store closing talk? isnt it expensive to produce a new sculpt just to close a store? no more boogies?! : (

I think the unpainted works a little better than the painted ver., or at least with this color scheme (not the best palette IMO). I think it's because the toy has this vintage vibe to it-the guy has this Nutty Mad-esque expression on his face, though the neon pink is a little more reflective of the bright colored Mexican repros. I'm getting the impression of a Marx toy, cereal premium hybrid influence. In that case, if that was the general idea or influence behind the toy, I would continue to produce monotone colors-I would love a shelf full of a whole mess of these guys in this vein. I would still like to see another painted ver. regardless.

Agree! I am looking forward to what version we see for Wondercon.

I'm with ya Grzlli. Although not nearly as much as the Boogie, I think this sculpt is pretty cool. I do wish the head was a bit more "horror" and a bit less "saturday morning cartoon" though... and I think the matte black they used for the head on the color version just works to exemplify the low-detail cutesiness of it.

not that anyone gives a f**k! but i think its cool and I hardly have a clue what frankenberry IS! Those teeth are awesome! Im liking the first colour choice and the pink blank is pretty snappy too.

ooh, ooh! i wonder if we'll see new heads in the future like the boogies! even if he had a little more of a mean eyebrow deal going on id me more into it. but hopefully we will see more faces cuz i really do like the body. the undone fly is funny.

This guy is incredibly goofy. I wouldn't buy one but I think it's pretty cool.
