Re: a candy colored clown they call the sandman........ greenslime, you see how your center clown head is so vividly clear? that's the best thing polyester resin does. however, its cons outweigh its pros in my opinion. if you use a different type of non-polyester clear resin you will get more bubbles and slightly less clarity, but your demold time will be within a half-hour and not the minimum 24hours necessary for most polyesters. if its cold where you do your casting, polyester can take multiple days to set fully. so if you want super-clear use the polyester. but if you want to add color dye/tints or glitter or some other filler to your clear, its more advantageous to use a different kind of clear resin. smoothcast comes to mind.
