 New Rangeas new size
Not sure it's been covered but what do you guys think of the new size Rangeas? I read it's a lil over 6" inches tall. I'm kinda on the fence. Not sure I want to start a new collection of something I already have albeit smaller. Then on the other hand it might look cool as smaller younger Rangeas's amidst it's older bro's

 Re: New Rangeas new size
My dumbass sold all of my Rangeas long ago. I wouldn't mind having one or 5 of these--if possible. smaller size means less money. I hope these are easier to get.
the original size is really perfect though.
...it would be cool to have the green vinyl again sometime. black and white seems kind of boring to me. might pass on these, and wait for something new.

 Re: New Rangeas new size
I am super psyched about them! Like vombie said I'm hoping that smaller size equals smaller price. And I hope they are easier to come by then the regular Rangeas. I can't wait to paint several. =) Right now I only have one full sized Rangeas, so I would welcome the new ones. Plus being smaller I could fit more in my shelves. Ah I want like 20 of these guys! also- I do try to keep on top of releases and such, but if anyone hears about a specific date, please post it here. I don't want to miss these! phil!

 Re: New Rangeas new size
I really wished T9G would have changed more of the sculpt - like smaller horns and a leaner body or less 'beard' - then it would have really looked like a younger Rangeas. These new shots really could show standard Rangeas (the proportions look different in the Museum shop shot : http://museum.cart.fc2.com/pict.php?pic=http://cart-imgs-1.fc2.com/user_img/m/museum/39_1_48.jpg?1269731748). Still, Rangeas is my favorite toy out there and I cannot wait to get these! Oh, and since they are called mid size here is hoping for small, mini and micro !!!

Yea, I'm curious to see how these compare to the originals. Check here for pre-order info: http://kaijuchronicle.blogspot.com/2010 ... -size.html

 Re: New Rangeas new size
looks good, but almost exactly the same (and not much smaller). What's the point? T9G should just do a completely new kaiju-type sculpt!

 Re: New Rangeas new size
Yeah, he could have done so much more to emphasize the scale/age decrease. T9G is a master of deformation, I would have liked to see him do more on this sculpt too.

 Re: New Rangeas new size
having seen the original resin version at the recent KC2 show, i must say the mid sized rangeas is really well proportioned, maybe even more appealing to the OG. i look forward to seeing the vinyl versions in real, hopefully they retained the proportion. the smaller rangeas will indeed retail slightly cheaper than the OG. i am happy to see the rangeas line continuing in a different form even if it means the OG is stopped or reduced to only customs.

 Re: New Rangeas new size
I hope they don't stop putting out the full size T9G Rangeas. I need to see these two side by side. The pics of the black and white looks like full size Rangeas. I'm thinking they did this for promo purposes. There has to be some slight differences in the sculpt unless they used some kind of 3D scanning process to just reduce the full size one to a smaller version.

He released a painted resin version at Kaiju Comrades 2 paired w/ the normal vinyl Rangeas. Didn't think he'd put it into production in vinyl.

 Re: New Rangeas new size
sorry to mislead, but i dun think they will retire the OG just yet. i remember being once informed that the OG mographixx movie ver will be use to mark the end of the TxT project phase, whatever that means.
actually i kind of wished that the rangeas was originally released in this mid-size. they are shelf-friendly and keep all the details of the larger ver.

 Re: New Rangeas new size
From the additional pics above it doesn't look like the new Rangeas would save that much space to make a diff. So for me space saving would be a selling point. I'll pick one up and see If it "speaks" to me.

 Re: New Rangeas new size
I like Rangreas, just never started on them because of the price tag. Seeing some pictures of the mid-size I do like it. I still think it's a little too similar, especially since the size difference doesn't even seem very substantial, but I'm glad to see that price tag, I'll probably try to pick some up.

 Re: New Rangeas new size
I cannot see the pic - neither with firefox nor with ie . . . btw - the latest news on Kaiju Chronicle states a white and a green one to be released ( http://kaijuchronicle.blogspot.com/2010/05/release-t9g-design-festa-green-white.html) - that would match with the first standard size releases - does that mean the anounced black and white release is not going to happen??? ???maxaltoman??? PS: Those pics still look like the standard sized ones . . .

 Re: New Rangeas new size
I was hoping that Mographixx T9G Rangeas was coming out since the TB one came out.
Do you know if this will this be offered to distro stores or will the release be handled locally in Japan?
Also is the white on the half pint the same as the OG? From the pic they look to be a little off from each other.
