So, I get an email fomr Kaiju-Taro indicating a 50% sale on 4/20 and I make an order. The emails says they'll keep reservation for 3 days, and after that it is cancelled.

I received a confirmation of order same day saying following:
After checking your order, We will send you confirmation E-mail with in 36 hours (except sundays).
Please wait until you receive the mail.

So, despite 3 emails to them asking them to repond I hear nothing, and teh 3 days is over. I am wondering if I misunderstood the instructions. Did anyone else managed to buy anything or have any issues? PM me or respond here. Thanks.

Same thing happened to me except I didn't try to email them afterwards b/c it was sort of an impulse purchase and I don't need to spend the money. I just assumed they got overwhelmed with all the orders or may have oversold some items.

But yes, just like you i got the automatic confirming email immediately after I placed my order but since then it's been crickets.

If you find out anything further, Carl, do you mind letting me know.

I haven't heard back either. I doubt my item sold out. Sent one e-mail to check back with them, and no response.

I emailed as well and heard nothing back until this morning but I am guessing that loads of people bought stuff as 50% off is pretty good

anyway just paid for all my stuff a few mins back so I am sure you will all have emails soon

I had the same uncertainties as you. I mailed them for a confirmation some days ago but did not get any answer.

I finally got my billing this morning.

I guess they've been much busy with their sale. With 50% off, the site almost completely sold out !

I ordered a little something too, but I haven't heard word one. I figured they're just busy with all the orders that must've come in. weird that I haven't gotten anything though.

I miss the old kaiju taro, with the point system (I had a ton of points when that program stopped...grr), the old dollar to yen exchange rate, "find Uncle Jet," etc. Their service used to be a pinnacle for other retailers to aspire towards.... still pretty good, but it ain't what it used to be.

Indeed, I too got no response...but it's great to hear that some people got their invoices this morning. I really hope mine comes too...I only got a few odds and ends, but at those prices, it was tough to say no!

I also haven't heard anything. However, I noticed the day after I placed my order that all the items I wanted were not marked "Sold Out". I figure other people got their orders in before me, because in the past I haven't seen them update the site until I paid.

I got my invoice last nite and paid in full! Scored an old grail glad to see them coming out of the woodwork. Keep watch my friends im sure theyre on thier way.

They never responded to me at all.

Kaiju-Taro used to be so cool. After this, I'm not sure I trust them any more.

I use to like ordering from KT because they always seemed to get new (good) stuff in. Seems like they don't get that much in anymore, and when they do it's gone (I don't check as often as I use to). I was pretty bummed they got a Kingbee MG5 glow and missed it.

Hope this isn't the wrap-up.

They have been selling back stock of their exclusive items steadily over the past few months. The staff also seemed to have been cut when K-T merged to become Link Tokyo. And now, there are these huge sales. Does not look so good.

Still waiting here. I must have been one of the first to place an order, so I'm a bit irked that they haven't gotten to me yet.

Been thinking the same thing. The store has never been as good since the big makeover, but lately signals do seem to be indicating a wrap. Hope I'm wrong, but I wish they still had the fire they once had. And the old "marking service," which was incredible.

I may have jinxed it for everyone by finally signing up a few weeks back after a tip-off that one of my 'Wants' had been listed . . . I have that effect on most things!

I just checked back on their site--ALL the things I ordered are listed as "sold out" now. I hope that means *I* actually scored them, but I'm not holding my breath. I think these guys are all done...

I just got my KT bill. I'm guessing they're just backed up. I don't think they're closing down, it's just Spring cleaning.
