Re: Got paranoia?
The Furankeruge with hair had a run of 10 + 2 with inverted colors if I remember well. But the page at the time only stated a run of 10.
Weren't the variants from a previous run two faces versions ?
The odds to get on of those 3 are even crazier ! How much I'd love to get a two-face version...

Maybe they'll be clear red (no spray) with the blue hair, that would kick ass!

Re: Got paranoia?
for the record our fight with shig was real. He was making stickers for his toys that said " I hate mishka" we made good though. I liked this toy as soon as I saw it. It was totally my aesthetic and I didnt care about any of the bullshit. Do I have a 2 headed bemon, no, do I still want one, yes. I am not mad a bemon, or whatever, I just havent been able to get one yet. I still think its funny how bent out of shape people got about the "made in occupied japan" and "fuck the usa" blah blah blah, nag nag nag I hung out with shig this past time in Japan, and trust me there is still a ton more controversy and back story to come out, but we will leave that to around page 100 or so... oh and everone here should read the BLOGLIN!

Re: Got paranoia?
At this point what's it matter? It's all whining about "you guys only like this cause' of hype" (that's why everyone likes anything right?) or some crap about how it's some fake fight. And it's the same conversation OVER AND OVER AND OVER again. Might as well make it about something new until the figure drops and everyone freaks cause they didn't get one.
I'm gonna start a bar called "Boglins Corner" and that's all I gotta say.

It's kind of funny how clueless most people are to the influence of manufactured hype. Nag should grow a pair and take a page from the book of elegab.

I'm sure people would complain about Elegab if they had releases of 10 only, blog or hype or not. There's not nearly as much whining about Bemon who just YJA's his stuff now. RxH doesn't have a blog either, he just tosses stuff out, sometimes it's in larger runs, sometimes not, but no one complains. Why would having a blog (that would only serve up more of the hated "hype") cause someone to have balls? Because we're being "let in on" the production process? I honestly think it'd cause more complaining since I doubt he'd "up" the release numbers. Ah dammit I got sucked into talking about this again! "Boglins Corner" would be a cool place because all the drinks would be toy themed. 1 "Slobulus" coming up! And a "Hordak" for the lady.

Re: Got paranoia?
actually by 'grow a pair" i meant that elegab cranks out a run of 90 handpainted toys, done to an amazing standard of quality and detail (re: vehicles on the tunnelran). I can't say for certain if he does it without assitance, however. Runs of 10 make nag look like a Lazy Sod in comparison....oh wait...

Re: Got paranoia?
Dude, are you making woodcuts from my artwork? That is not cool at all. Draw your own drawing and make a woodcut of that instead.
And don't even think of selling one of those prints.

Re: Got paranoia?
Despite being derivative it's a beautiful woodcut ... the residual ink contributes to make the block itself artistic. No comment on the copyright matter for now, but man, this figure sure does have some sort of weird karma about it.

You guys had a shit fit over somebody ripping off that S7 robot print - at least those crooks created their own artwork. Why do people think this kind of shit is okay? Especially another artist - how would he feel if I did the same thing to him? If I broke into your house and stole your toys, then set up a stand in your driveway to sell them - that's what this is like.

Re: Got paranoia?
Woo Hoo !!! Lets fight !!! Juss wanted to add chaos and "controversy" to this fun thread, and as i<m better with pictures than words i threw in my take on your take on Shigerus Boryoku. Don't worry i wouldn't sell these cuts, i'm just practicing. Anyway in the traditional Japanese Moku Hanga system, artists made designs that were cut by woodblock carvers and printed by another specialist.

I'll say this: I've had Elegab stuff and a Nag, and I'm not saying Nari isn't great at what he does, but from in-hand experience it's clear the Nag SEEMS like it took a little more work to paint. More detail, more layers, sometimes Elegab stuff is a little sloppy (I've had figures with "stray spray" that I know was NOT intentional.) I love Elegab though, I think it's great for what it is. But there's a difference. Furthermore what might be easy for 1 painter may NOT be for another and I really couldn't say what other things Nag dude has going on, maybe he really doesn't have the time? Maybe all he can do is 10 to keep the quality and keep the figures released in a certain time frame? I mean, say he upped #'s but it took him 6 months to do a run of 30? People would still complain. Anyway, I'm not trying to start a "vs." fight between company fans, cause I love both, I'm just poiting out what I've seen in hand. Also I've never had a Tunnel dude, just the mini's and Shuttlegon. But again, what's easy or viable for 1 guy may not be for another so how can ANY of us say or call someone lazy? There's a lot going on in the chaos of paint on a NagNagNag.

I havent had a nag in hand becuase ...well we all know why, so maybe i am drawing a premature comparison....but he HAS to be aware of the demand and i am sure he's loving it. He did pretty much call himself a lazy sod with his unpainted green release so that's where that comparitive line was drawn in my mind.
