Redyoda already said as much on flickr, so I bet he's right.

He also suggested that it's possible to fix the deformity on its body, but the more I'm thinking about, the more I lean towards just leaving it as is.

looks pretty cool all bent up, but maybe the body could be fixed a bit. the head looks a bit squished from others i've seen, but they might be different sculpts. the head looks perfect now though and the paint gives kind of a muskrat look.

Heat him up with a blow dryer until the vinyl gets soft, get him untwisted, then put him under cold water. Works every time.

So, will the paint be affected once the vinyl gets to pliable stage temperature? It seems that the green paint on the left side of his face is either an original painting mistake (doubt it), or the result of a mending procedure like the one contemplated here.

Also, the deformities are also around where the hands and the head are connected. I'm afraid I mess with the whole and won't be able to put it back together.

It's not ugly now, just thought a bit a repair could make him even more awesome.

nothing is 100%, but i've done this dozens of times with old vinyl and never had a problem. Just be careful and take your time.
