Naofumi Yamamoto
I recently got the white yamamoto skull bee. the glow and the decals are great. but I have been curious about why it was made. I am not sure if this has been discussed on the board yet. maybe it was and I missed it.
From my research (looking at wrestling magazines and web hunting) it looks like the figures are fan support for this wrestler
Naofumi Yamamoto
Here are some fun links on the league and general news on japan wrestling. So weird to look at stuff like this now. when I was a kid I was obsessed with WWF, so it for sure takes me back. In one of the magazines it showed Yamamoto in a secret base t-shirt!

Puro wrestling in Japan is on a bit of a downturn at the moment. the big two was always All Japan and New Japan, AJPW is closed and NJPW is a lot smaller than it used to be.
There is soo many good puro wrestling matches on the internet that I could dig out if people are interested.

I've never been a fan of the big time high profile feds like New Japan and All Japan. only crappy hardcore stuff like FMW and Big Japan, and even moreso the C level "monter" feds. those are the best.

my favourite type of puro was always the juniours. Seeing Sasuke with the J-Crown is fantastic.
Favourite fed was Michinoku Pro, those guys smoked the Barely Legal PPV.
at the moment in Japan it has to be DDT, any fed that can have a ladder as a champ is doing something right!
