They don't leave notices on your door...I've called off of work only to see the driver not even stop when a package was marked as "out for delivery" and if you have to pick it up the nearest place is Maspeth NY - hours away via train and cab.

My favorite FU? My folks came for a visit - we took some pictures of them at the Statue of Liberty. We sent a box that had the photo in an expensive frame and some cat food samples for this shelter. They get the box...which wasn't the box we sent with a different frame, no cat food and the photo was out of the frame mangled. Someone at UPS opened the box, removed the frame, put everything back into a different box, cut the label off and taped it back up...and they claimed that it didn't happen!

I love this thread, because I'm totally in touch with my inner rage and not afraid to express exactly how things are making me feel. I just commented the other day how my managers made me feel (and their total disgust at me for screaming back at them, walking away and refusing the play their little game). Basically it boils down to this and you can apply this to basically 90% of all work fields: People put into management positions usually are overpaid babysitters with no discernable talent. Their mandate is not to be leaders, or people with vast knowledge of whatever department they run, but to control the workforce and get high productivity at the lowest cost (thus enabling them to be rewarded with high salaries) It's a racket, and as long as corporations run the world will continue.

This. I remember when UPS was the end-all be-all shipping company. If you wanted it done right, you sent it UPS. Not anymore. Those assclowns can't get anything right, and I'm convinced if their drivers could take a big steaming dump inside of their deliveries and get away with it, they would.

The last time it rained here, the UPS delivery guy in a rare display of actually getting the box to the door, left it sit in the pouring rain all afternoon. The kicker is that my entire porch (a whole 2 feet away!) is covered and was perfectly dry. But could you leave the box there? Oh hell naw! Let's drown that fucker!
