This old thread just reminded me that I once moved Glenn's entire record collection in 3 hours. My legs were complete shit for a week after.

One word: Elfa. I've got Elfa shelves on all four walls of my office. Very versatile. Here's a shot of one of my CD walls a couple of years ago. The record wall is opposite. Because of the metal bracing every 18 inches, I haven't had an issue with sag. It's been about 8 years.

I thought about getting my CDs out of storage when I moved, but ultimately I decided it was a waste of space - everything is ripped to my hard drive, and I'm just not as fetishistic about the CD-as-object as I am about vinyl. I did pull out some box sets and stuff that had neato packaging (Like those Stranglers CD singles collections.)

I've even thought about hauling all my CDs over to Amoeba and selling 'em, but I'm still too much of a pack rat to let go.

Missy: The Big Instamatic was a store display in an old camera shop in Little Tokyo. I bugged them about it for years until they sold it to me.

did you also purchase the creepy, disembodied hand holding the camera on the far right?
