Post Need help from comic collectors to find some comics
Hey guys, I know alot of you are into comics and i figured since this what the whatever section this would be ok.
I'm by no means a heavy comic book collector but I've been hunting down some comics with a fury for the last months and i've hit dead ends.
I'm trying to complete the series of "The Maxx" by Sam Kieth, put out by Image in the mid 90's. If any of you have some issues laying around that you'd like to get rid of, or know of a local shop where you can get some let me know please!
Looking for issues 12, 16, and 29-35. also, any odd and ends (guest appearances, etc.)
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated, i just finished issue 11 and I'm jonesing to read the rest!

29-35 are the ones with lower print runs, so are harder to come by and fetch heavier prices.
i still don't have the last issue yet!
savage dragon #28 is a good issue to have for maxx completists...

I'll check a couple of my shops tomorrow. I know one place I can definitely get it and I'm pretty sure my regular guy can dig through his stacks. Is there a dollar amount you'd rather not go over?

Do you have Maxx 1/2? It was one of the Wizard mail in exclusives I think. If you need it I'm pretty sure I've got it.

Also, there was the DARKER IMAGE #1, which introduced the Maxx. It was supoposed to be a 4-issue series, but only the first issue came out.

All I've come across today is #12 for $4. I've got the owner of my usual shop digging for more and should know in a few days

Aren't some trade paperbacks in print?

Hey guys, thanks for all the suggestions! Silver Lining Man told me about a website that has all of the issues I need for pretty fair prices so i think i'm gonna go that route. Thanks for all the info, yes i'll be picking up darker image 1 and maxx 1/2 and the mini comic as well.
And yes, there are trade paper backs out, i got the last one as a gift and i'll probably go back and get the other 5 later but I want the actual issues as well. I love Sam Kieths artwork and loved the Maxx back when it was on Mtv and I want to have all the issues framed up and hung once I read them all.
Thanks again everyone!

also, if you are a SK fan-->
- IDW has released a Sam Keith sketchbook, and Volume 2 is coming out sometime this summer.
- Batman Confidential #40-43 is a pretty sweet Sam Keith story and art arc titled "Ghost" or something like that, plus his 5-issue mini-series Batman: Secrets is good too. I really like his rendition of batman, most notable is the batman crest/signal thingy...

Ya, I've got a couple of the Batman Detective comics that he did the covers for and he draws what i feel batman should look like, dark and gritty.
Just ordered all my Maxx comics, but they were out of issue #16. if anyone has, let me know please.
Thanks again

Two Sam Kieth sketchbooks came out this year.
They are worth a look.

Also his run on Marvel Comics Presents is great. He did Wolverine like no other. Those are pretty cheap books to pick up too.
