part of me hopes that I'll hate them. let me explain...

when shintosan was released, I went nuts over him. he was my favorite RxH sculpt. I imagined that I would put up a single level of shelves all around the upper walls of my room and I would keep collecting shintosans until the shelves were full and my room was protected by a colorful army of karate mutant wolfman demigods thus "completing" my collection and guaranteeing that I would never get laid again. THAT's how serious I was about this sculpt. This was when Mori was releasing unpainted versions outside of the goldmist and green painted. I was able to fight off the completist bug when he started slopping them up with rubs and doing the split black/spray types. wah waw.

I dig unpainteds, freehand (nosplits), and even the masked ones.

the new one has won me over big time. missed it though (?) kind of broke.

Btw, if you never put a Shintosan sculpt on a high shelf, do it. Some sculpts work better at certain viewing levels. this one, fittingly, really sings when he's looking down at you IMHO. heheh I just realized how much of a dork I'm being. whoa gotta step back.

Anyway, I can't wait to see the new ideas for this series.

When and where? I need a new Mutant Chaos to balance my Chaos lineup, and this guy is sweet.

Vombie, if we can't be dorks here, woe be unto the hobby. I agree about the high shelf placement, but I think that most toys look better when they're at eye level or higher. I also abandoned the completist wagon. I never picked up the b/w (can't remember if it was "wind" or "thunder") or the more recent red-rub with headband (one of the best IMHO.)

(Shameless mooch: If anyone is looking to trade one of those away, I could easily revert to "completist" mode LOL.)

D-D-D-D-DIG IT! I like the sparkle brown w/paint Chaos we saw in some shots recently too. I'll be honest, I was getting a little Chaos'ed out, but a few newer ones (this, brown-town and grey lulubell) are pretty good. Pushing Chaos love aside for a sec, I would like to see a glitter packed Evil/Mutant set or Bat.

When did this one drop? I notice a header so I assume it's from a year or so back, anyone remember? At first I thought it was the TT green rub, but there aint no blue spray on that, this is actual green vinyl (not yellow w/green paint) and there aint no rubbin's goin on either.

I saw that in person on Sunday. the frog on the eye and the crab on the back of the head are nice touches.
