i'm not sure if the infaceables by galoob were covered in these 17 pages yet or not, but i just scored this gem and am super stoked about it:

yeah, they pretty much disappeared. here's an cut-n-paste i took from a blog i found about them that explains why better than i could explain it:

The Interfaceables had faces which change from man to beast. When you extend the upper portion of the body, air would inflate and deflate the face completing the transformation - much better than Transformers, in my opinion. Unfortunately, the faces were made of thin rubber which easily tore or degraded, so not many have survived. Each figure was 6" tall and were packaged with exclusive weapons, as well as a belt, which was the same for all figures.

i'm usually not on of those figure collectors anal about MOC, but for the reason mentioned above, i find that i have to go that route with this line.

Looks like Obama totally ripped them off too with the tagline "Mystic Warriors of Change" Actually I'd prefer if that was his, or anyone's, campaign slogan. I might even believe something they said. The "Mystic" part to be exact.

But that reminds me: de-card or not de-card? My instinct has always been to de-card...but I gotta admit, for pricier stuff, I feel real nervous about it!

I take all my toys out of their packaging.

If the packaging is great and enhances the figure w/o hiding any of it's positives I keep it carded. Most toys DON'T do that so I open most.

I found this bootleg transformer this weekend at a street fair. I can't get over how awesome the color is, the plastic is better quality than I expected too.

I have this same figure loose/complete (face intact!). They really are tough to collect because of the the common face damage. I will only not open a toy if it seems so rare I would feel too guilty, so almost everything gets opened. It seems like a lot of action figure collectors of rare (or rarer) lines like this seem to feel a lot more strongly about the issue of opening toys than sofubi collectors unbagging things.

i the package artwork is awesome, and there isn't any visually annoying creases or yellow, i'll keep it carded. i open everything else. and it doesn't always have to do with the value aspect. for example, i have a set of video command figures MOC. the packages are flawless, so i kept them in intact. this figure line is pretty much worthless. i have been picking up already opened ones for next to nothing so i can view them both ways.

I guess I very rarely buy vintage carded toys. Vinyl comes bagged, and I've got no qualms about opening them (since you're really just removing staples in the header). And, obviously, most vintage diecast come in boxes that are easy to open. But de-carding a vintage action figure devalues it a TON on the market...which makes me really hesitant.

I don't really collect too many of 'em, so I don't worry too much about it. And the few carded figures I buy are from such obscure lines, there's just no demand...so no value...

Oh, but here's a good example: a while back I picked up Sucklord's Starstak. The fucking card glows in the dark! I just couldn't choose...so I ended up buying two: de-carded one, kept the other for display!

I think this is going to be the best one yet.

I still think mossman was the best of the bunch.
