+1
I don't honestly have single person in mind but the "gime-gime" culture that thrives on KR is one reason I came here. No flipping, mutual respect and a kind of calm that you don't find with a lot of the [expletive deleted] hunters.
Starting off your first post by telling people what you want them to sell you isn't the best way to introduce yourself. After all, as someone else pointed out, most of us are looking for the same things. I've wanted a 1/6 Medicom since I started almost a year ago and I still haven't snagged one.

Chill. It ain't aimed at anybody and you've done nothing to ever bother me. I don't need to run to Ramos either, you'll see me coming. That's between you and somebody else. Also note I've posted wishlist items and have even gotten a couple. The hunt is a lot of the fun.

Is it just me or do I not understand this thread? What is the issue here? Who is behind the issues? Nobody wants to seem to want to actually say what the problem is and who they think is causing it.
This place is a fish tank, and new fish are going to keep arriving every day as Super7, Skullbrain, and this hobby keep growing. You can keep the fish well fed and scrape the algae, or you can just leave the lights off and piss in the tank. If you choose the latter, don't be surprised when everything starts to die off.
Putting the metaphor aside, this place is a community. You will get out of it what you put into it.

purple walrus wrote: ……….I tried to sell one single item on this board, and yet for some strange reason, I was instantly persecuted. The item I tried to sell was a GID Steven the Bat that I purchased in July of 2005. I was instantly accused of being an ‘instant flipper,’ even though I purchased the item over a year ago. Two people PM’d me, lecturing me that I should not have purchased this item if I did not like doodled-on items. I do not understand why some of you sent me insulting PM’s. The fact of the matter, is that I was not instantly flipping this item, because I purchased it in July in 2005, which is before many of you owned a single SB figure. I had my own reasons for wanting to sell it
… if I am one of the people you want to leave, PLEASE let me know
I was thinking about this post, and I'm wondering if someone thought you were selling the handpainted Steven the Bat that Bwana sold at SDCC this year. Just to clear up any confusion - I bought that at Comic Con, and I still have it and have no intentions of selling it. I actually just showed it off to Muton when he was in the shop for the James Jarvis thing a couple of weeks ago. And for the record, it looks f**king awesome.
And I for one don't want anyone to leave, and sending insulting PM's to a guy for selling his own stuff in a Buy, Sell, Trade forum or sending Ramos PM's for not liking another board member seems a bit strange to me.[/i]

(Please don't take this in the pissy negative light that it could be read in.) But what is the point of an internet forum if people aren't free to ask questions or buy and sell forum-specific items? What is the point of having a community if it's not allowed to grow? Other than the BST all the other sections have been relatively dead. What's the harm in an occasional question?.....a 2 second answer?
I don't understand why some of you are so reluctant to keep this place so intimidating for newcomers into a hobby they want to enjoy. There's hard love and then there's unwelcoming. As a new member of this forum, I don't necessarily feel unwelcome but I can easily see how a person could get that vibe extremely fast.
Just wanted to express views of a new member because that's what's basically being discussed here.

I agree wholeheartedly with Roger, Pigeon, Muton and others that have advocated an open, friendly atmosphere.

I apparently should've just kept my mouth shut as opposed to saying anything as a few people thought I should. I do enjoy the paranoia that runs rampant around here.
I like the garbage disposal at KR, nothing too serious and not as many pretty pictures.

Agreed. More love and less hate. Folks who hate and make others unwelcome should find a new hobby.

Well, in a way, i'm glad some of this got aired out on this thread. Before, I'm plugging along, posting like a madman thinking everyone is digging me and then I find out this last saturday that this is far from the truth. I suppose unless someone said something, I would have just continued to really annoy all the old board members.
A suggestion would be to have one of you old guard post a newbie FAQ: "How to Survive on Skullbrain". This way whenever a newb asks about Skullwings or is "Begging relentlessly" on the BST, you or even can politely send them the link to the FAQ. The newb gets it fast, the board members are hopefully slightly less annoyed and maybe Skullbrain is slightly more inviting. The risk of course, is that you guys will have to find something else to be annoyed with!

Dude..
that wasn't directed towards you but nice way to present yourself.
I never ran to ramos to cry...
Consider one less person on your side.
I'm out of this thread, I said something publicly, or nothing actually, about a feeling on the board lately, and its not worth the effort.
