How many kinds of bero bero's are there including the chaoq types and other variants?
I dont know much about these little beauties and I am trying to source some info.

I know of the first 2 one pink flesh style the other black.

I'm pretty sure those are the only two that have been released so far. I'll leave the ChaoQ inventory to someone who knows it better.

I've only seen the two. IMO they are the coolest thing RxH has ever released. Also the only RxH I own.

Those 2 are cool.Well.... that about wraps that up...hehe. Now howzabout the chaoqs? And are there any other types apart from the chaoq? Do they all have normal arms?

I think there's been 4 x production ChaoQ's . . . Metallic Purple, Metallic Green (yellow eye & green eye), Black KT version with scarf and Metallic Red. Plus a handful of one offs from the RxH x Skulltoys event that I'm choosing to erase from my memory!

the sprays on the ChaoQ are definitely good most times. I didn't know they had more recently.

Bero combines Cat, Oni, and Kewpie into one haunting, taunting, weird little figure. it was really a hit with me. I was hoping to see some interesting color treatment in later releases. It struck me as such an original out of the blue sculpt, that I expected the way Mori would approach this one would be just as interesting as far as color choices and patterns are concerned.

I remember seeing a picture of one on his shelf in the shop, and I thought that one would make it over here eventually. it was like a light tan color or something.

..actually I just grabbed the other half of the total bero bero count from the KT sale. Wow Im complete on something...dont know what all the fuss is about.

It says in the 'An Encyclopedia of Kaiju' book that the Bero Bero was designed
as a store mascot for Shinto-Gangu.

That must be why theres so few of 'em because it was just for the store opening.

At least one of them was released before Shinto-gangu opened. It was a Junk-Spot release, but I can't remember if it was the flesh or black version.

i scored the pink Bero Bero the other day from Mandarake. been after that sculpt for ages . . .

Excuse my ignorance but i never realised it is a RxH head on an original kewpie body.
I didn't know this until i saw the makers stamp on the foot of the kewpie body (has an elephant on the stamp) and then a seperate RxH stamp on the back of the head.

I assumed RxH had re-sculpted the body BASED on a kewpie - not used an ACTUAL kewpie body.

For some reason i find this even more cool and subversive!

Yeah, it is cool. Story is that Mori was able to get a deal on excess Kewpie bodies.

Now we need Bero Bero soy sauce.

I just saw this mayo last weekend for the first time. I thought it had such a cool bottle. Is it any good?

It is! The flavor is really intense. It's a little more like homemade mayo than the white chemical-y American brands. I picked it up because the Momofuku cookbook calls for it specifically. (Well, also because I thought it was funny and was curious.) Made some ham salad using it ... mmmm. Being an import in the USA it's a little on the pricey side but as commercial mayo goes it's the best I've ever bought.

Sure would love to see more Beros but they don't seem to be happening. Not the most popular RxH release.
