Sorry for reviving this thread a bit--been inactive for months. Even the pattern on the fingers and toes are inescapably--identical?? I don't know, I still heart the Takkong for its uniqueness and the sheer size of it..

Hahaha awesome! Papashango-mon! The head is a nice touch. I don't mind clothes for toys either, but props really seal the deal.

 Re: Killer J Sarumon
Still find it amazing that the community has embraced this blatant rip-off of another companies design. I am not usually a hater (or I try not to be) but this figure has always been beyond the pale IMH(ateful?)O
Joel's caveman does rock!

I don't think I ever got a clear/non-snotty answer on it (from anyone), but what's the difference between Killer J doing this and Gargamel "ripping off" IKB's Hedorans and Zags? Not trying to argue, but I just want to know the difference/what I'm missing I guess? Both were original sculpts then someone ripped them off years later. 1 is accepted, 1 isn't. I mean I'm certain there's an element I'm missing, I just don't know what is all.

I mean I'm certain there's an element I'm missing, I just don't know what is all. I'm not sure what teh answer is myself; is it because its felt that insufficient credit/call-out was given to teh OG by Killer J? I had actually bought quite a few zags before I heard about teh IKB version, via Skullbrain - and looking at both I much prefer Gargamels re-interpretation. The re-imagined Sarumon is a sturdy beast of a figure that works well with a multitude of paint apps. PLenty of people who stop by love this version....and again I think it is an improvement aesthetically on the OG version. BUT credit, where credit is due; this version could not exist without the original and teh same goes for Gargamels zags and hedo's. So come Don, or someone, tell me what I am also missing here?
