They pretty much sell out of new items within a week or two. Once they are sold out they are usually gone for good. Sometimes they will have an item or two pop back up again, but never for long.
You won't find older figures there though except for the shops display case only "NOT FOR SALE" items.
If I'm looking for older items I check out Mandarake.
SB is tiny, but they have a killer display case.
They do sell key chains, socks, shirts, rings, sun-glasses, necklaces, and such.

Which one? There are 5 or 6 in Tokyo, all different sizes (the one in Akihabara is tiny, but Shibuya is pretty big), and 2 in Osaka, both of which are pretty big, the one in Umeda being 3 stories tall.

Their collections of things like Secret Base tend to be very limited, but as I've reported elsewhere (in a largely ignored thread), the Mand. in Nakano does not display their stash (at least they didn't last month). You have to ask to see it. It's a rather sizeable assortment of pieces - some 30 or 40 including RealHead, Gargamel, etc.

Hope that helps.

mandarake doesn't let you take pics.. or even notes for that matter.. I always laugh when staff at Japanese toy shops tell me to quit taking notes... not sure what they are worried about.

if only I had a photographic memory...

Thanks for the attitude, and welcome to the list!

Data - It was the one right next to the big room/area where people bring stuff to Mandarake to sell. (You know, the one with all the log shelves that look like conveyor belts.)

I can't remember which floor, sorry. I asked the staff if they had any more Secret Base type stuff, and they made a call to a guy who brought a box chock full of figures. So I think the key is not which store you're at, but making sure the staff get in touch with the keeper of the box! Quite a treasure trove in there, so I hope you can get to look through it. (And pls lmk about the Cronics when you get a chance.) :)
