I found this thread through a google image search and read through the entire thing, twice. Your guy's taste in collecting is very similar to my own so it's been very enjoyable going through and seeing all the pictures and finds.

I actually just won a knock off lion-o in motu style on ebay just a few days ago as well. Here's the seller's picture:

I'm thinking of repainting it and cleaning it up to make it look nice, although that would ruin the posterity I suppose.

Keep it DRRRRTY! Or strip it, cast it and bootleg the bootleg. I've been seeing lots of great garbage lately, just can't afford a lot right now. What's great about bootlegs is something always pops up and totally outa no where.

There's a seller on ebay that has some amazing MOTU/Galaxy Warrior blowmold bootlegs up right now.

I've noticed some of you are in Chicago (NW burbs here) you guys might remember dollar tree (or maybe they're still around I don't know). Anyway I got this guy there in the late 90's:


And while we're on the topic of bootlegs I bought these a few years ago. I was given a Raph and Don by some friends who didn't want them anymore back in childhood. These have to be the coolest bootlegs I've ever owned. When you press their belt they say either Cowabunga or Pizza time, and it sounds like the turtles voices. Way better than the official talking turtles from back in the day:

I think Dollar Tree is still around. I have some bootleg wrestling figures from them in a box. They're based on the eariest ECW sculpts but are repainted and have crazy packages. The package is a picture of Chris Benoit with cartoon eyes bulging out of his head. They were made before his insane suicide/murder so it's kinda weird with the bulging eyes and all. I'm unloading boxes while moving so when they pop up I'll get pics.

Dollar Tree is definitely still around. I stop in there from time to time to peruse the weird toys they have.

Toy Story 3 Lego sets rule to the max, especially the Pizza Planet set! The other sets are cool, but Pizza Planet is in every (almost positive) Pixar movie.

Thank you. I do collect some Japanese toys but mostly Takara/Tomy like Transformers/Microman. I've been lurking the other parts of this forum but I don't really have anything to add. I do like the style of the large rotocast monsters I see on this forum a lot. Not exactly sure what they're called. I have some old Power Rangers 8" figures that are very similar from my childhood.

Edit: Wow that Lego set rocks. I may have to pick that up. But aren't Lego technically Danish?

Found these guys at the flea shop by my work, there's a guy there with a booth full of awesome '80's/'90's toys.

Nice! That's Slasher Seahorse. I used to have about 25-30 when I was a kid. I only have a few now. I think I'm going to start trying to find all of them. There's only 76 of them and 4 or 5 vehicles so it should be a pretty obtainable goal.

Battle Beasts! Love these guys, I've got a handful that float around my shelves depending on how things are set up.



A really great little detail with these toys is that each figure and weapon are marked with a matching number, so if you're lucky enough to track down their original accessories you can easily pair them with the correct toy.



Somewhere, in one of my many bins, I've got a huge ziplock bag stuffed with all the random tiny weapons for my 80's toys. I'm almost positive I've got at least a couple that belong to these guys...

Great pics! Definitely one of my favorite toys growing up, out of the bunch that I had I managed to keep one single guy (Deer Stalker #2) and recently I've picked up a few more up. In the last two days I've managed to do some record trades for a couple handfuls of figures which are on the way and I'm pretty happy about.
