prices are going down on many figures, a ring set just sold on yja for about $150 before fees and shipping.
However, it does seem like there are fewer figures showing up on yja too. I think many of the hard to get figures are getting really hard to get.

I'm with Knewman. I think prices are dropping but the ones eveybody covets are going to be nearly impossible to find and when they do surface it'll be bucks...

Kinda like the Beaniwe Babie fad a few years ago huh?
It is more like there is a finite amount of people that are into these figures as well as a finite amount of figures. I certainly do not ever think i will possess one of everything unlike our esteemed colleague Mr. Kozik. I have certain ones I am after. Other people want certain ones and as those people get the ones they want for some stupid price then others of the same figure come up available and the next person with that #1 on thier list doesn't want to pay that much for it so the price drops to that next level. The problem is alot of people have the same ones at the tops of their lists so they break out into a bidding war what have you. Survival of the fittest People. See you in the Arena!

more like survival of the fattest... ass that can sit around on ebay all night waiting for the last 10 seconds of any given auction to snipe honest folks out of figures they really want.
maybe that was kinda harsh, but seems to me alot of the time it's not flippers that are the problem but assholes who can't play fair. And that's not directed at the above poster I've just had a few dissappointments lately.

damn, just as I'm listening to P.E.'s "Don't believe the hype" Prices do seem to be going down Always buy what you like - I wish I would have seen the new white Skull Brain and the New Madball in real life before I shelled out - I'm really underwhelmed.
I want the new atmos Obake (except the yellow one) and SBrains (all) but I'm looking for other toys.
I'm not a completist usually but I wish I could get every Blobpus - I just love the fig and the paint Jobs.

Hey - the auction still always go the one who bids the most. But I'm probably not the guy who sniped your auctions because I rarely bid on toys.

Surprised, I really like the new white skullbrain with the scarf, it is one of my favorites so far.
As far as prices dropping, if you consider the $200-300 prices that were happening 2 months ago an indicator, yes, prices are dropping, but 6 months ago those same toys were 40-75 apiece, so we are still up quite a bit overall.
I think the prices are starting to level out more, especially now that a lot of stateside collectors have a few for their collections, and are a little less manic. On the flip side, other than the large SB collection I bought in Japan, I saw -get ready- 9 SB figures for sale the entire trip. That is it. And I even left 4 of them behind because they were too expensive. The figures simply are not around very often, and they are priced pretty high when available. Of those 9, only 1 was a skullbrain, the rest were bees.
Basically, for collectors starting now, it is going to be a lot harder to get single older pieces than it was when most of you started. I think the "key" pieces from the set are going to be more expensive than usual going forward, but the bulk of the main figures that are more "regular" will (and have) levelled off quite a bit. That said, I have buckets of requests for figures if I could only find them.
